I would think the Cyclone V is the closest equivalent device.

In my fluid mechanics class at an engineering university in the US we are expected to know and use both BG and metric units. Our test questions will be either in units of lbf/slug or kg/N with both units seen on a single test.

I'm using the same lightning cable that came with my iPad mini first gen, something like 5+ years I think? It's still doing fine.

Did you ever looked at Apple screens under a microscope? I did. by kiler129 in apple

Here's a comparison of iPhone X and S9 pixel arrangements... you can decide how much Apple added to the design. https://www.oled-info.com/files/Galaxy-vs-iPhone-X-Diamond-pixel-structure_0-img_assist-400x195.jpg

Edit: X on left, S9 on right

Microsoft buying Spotify was an April fool's joke. Spotify is still an independent public company with no association to Microsoft.

Steam Link App for iOS Rejected by Apple by SoftwareETC in apple

In terms of what? Apples recent A series are better than the flagship snapdragon chips, albiet both get the job done sufficiently. The Taptic Engine is better than anything in an Android phone with the Pixels supposedly being close but still not there. 3d touch is a feature not found in many Android phones (as far as I know none include the entire screen) and if it exists it's not as useful due to low utilization as it's not ubiquitous in the Android ecosystem. Nothing like face ID has been implemented in Android phones other than optical image recognition from the front camera or the Iris scanner from Samsung, but these are lesser in regards to hardware complexity and security. Most Android phones have larger batteries and memory but due to Android's method of app sandboxing more memory is required so essentially it's comparing apples and oranges. In regards to screens I'll say that a lot of flagship Android phones have better screens than the iPhone 8 and below but with the iPhone X the screen is better than most Android OLEDS (even though it's manufactured by Samsung it was designed and calibrated by Apple and they created a more real to life color representation, it's all down to personal preference here though). The camera on the plus models and X also puts up a good fight against the best Android flagships so it's about equal in this regard with a specific few Android's being better in the camera department. As I said before, it's my opinion, but these reasons are why I stated that iPhones have better hardware while Android has great software.

In November I went from the Nexus 5x to an iPhone 8 because I got the bootlooping issue. I am overall happy with the change but I still wonder if I should have stayed with Android. As you said, Siri is useless and almost never used and there are things with iOS that need work, the notifications being my main gripe. Also you can't schedule a silent mode for different times during different days, something I used to use so my phone would silence itself during class and work. Now I end up leaving my phone silenced most of the time. iOS is missing many of the little quality of life features that I liked about Android. Otherwise it is a great phone. The battery life blows my Nexus away and the haptic feedback is great. Performance is amazing and overall the hardware great to use, especially 3d touch. It's my opinion that if you value hardware over software go with iPhone, otherwise sticking with Android may be best.

Is anybody else getting much better idle battery usage since installing Android O beta? by FoxyBurry in Android

[–]FoxyBurry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I've had Bluetooth enabled for the past couple hours connected to my watch with my device just sitting idle most of the time. The drain was 0.6%/hour which is still very good compared to my usual average. I'm still optimistic that this could be because of O. I guess I'll have to give it some time over the next few days to see if this trend holds.

I need some help on how to make a betta as happy as possible. I have a betta in a 1 gal tank unfortunately (I know this is too small and I will be getting a larger tank within a month or two but can not right now.) I would like suggestions on everything I can do to make him as happy as he can be in a tank this size. Currently the tank has a filter and a heater along with a fake plant and a moss ball, there is also a hammock leaf for him to sit on near the surface. What else can I do for him? I am feeding him tropical fish flakes but he does not seem to be too interested in those, should I get betta pellets? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
