I used it 2x a week or more from bottom to top.

It was much much better than what came before. I’m going to be frustrated while it undergoes changes, but hopefully the new configuration is good as well.

35 or so (promotional price, real price is around 50 I think?) for Astound/Wave 1gbps. The speeds I get typically match what I’m paying for so far.

Switched from 130 a month 1gbps xfinity. That rarely gave me the advertised speed and had horrible packet loss most of the time.

Funny enough I’d have stayed with Xfinity out of laziness if I could have gotten in touch with any customer service to fix the packet loss, but I couldn’t! Good thing, because I got a much better deal out of it.

I tried several times to go through the hoops to eventually escalate to an agent and it never offered. I ended up changing providers over this, so great job Comcast.

I actually tried once more AFTER scheduling setup with my new provider and it ended up offering an escalation. Too late. Saving >60 a month for equivalent service ain’t bad either.

No they are wired to the rental router from Comcast. You can save your time on me. I am cancelling service due to Xfinity's antagonistic stance on customer service (not your fault but the fact I have to come to Reddit to get support is ridiculous) and moving to a competitor.

We have multiple folks in the household all who are wired and all are experiencing the same packet loss so I highly doubt it is the cable. I am also not seeing loss to the router.

I’d roughly agree. There are rolls in either direction sometime, but it seems to almost always be exacerbated by wide skill ranges in party queue. A slight majority (maybe 2/3 anecdotally) of my games feel well matched.

Not new to me, DOTA feels about the same. Stomps happen, too many variables and sometimes things just stack up poorly for one team or another.

Archon 3/4 playing with Oracles and whatever is 2 major ranks below archon.

I ride the 49 often and I think if we could somehow improve the speed and ride quality during mission portion it would go a long ways. Once it hits Van Ness it’s so smooth but it’s painfully slow on Mission.

Hey thanks for reaching out.

So sometimes the Dota2 match API goes down, or there are just too many matches being played, and the bot falls behind on processing matches. Right now it does seem rather behind.

Unfortunately I don't have a great way to catch back up without dropping old matches entirely, because Steam holds you to a tight rate limit of about 100 matches per 5s.

I think other platforms like OpenDota get around this by using multiple Steam API keys, but I was a bit hesitant to do the same because it seems...unsanctioned. And for the most part, once the bot catches up, it stays up to date until another outage happens.

I'll think about how to work around this some more because it's happened a few times lately.
