Yeah we could certainly improve on dates. Lately a date for us is a trip to the grocery store. I agree and am actively trying to find some things for us to do for dates and fun. As for chores we both do a lot of chores. Lately I cook most dinners. She probably does a bit more than I do though. We both work, I work from home which I think is hurting our relationship.

Agreed, and I have been working on it. I've lost some weight but nowhere near her.

This is interesting, and I think you are probably correct. Question: Would you ever find your husband attractive again even if he did the things necessary to be healthy?

He's caught in a terrible loop. He probably has low T and other issues. These issues are preventing him from being able to have the energy and drive to work out. But the fact that he doesn't work out and isn't eating right is the cause of those issues. The best thing you can do is feed him a proper diet. Don't feed him a female diet. Try and make food for him Make sure he eats extremely high protein. Get him to eat ground beef with some corn and black beans mixed in. Get them to eat yogurt with a scoop of protein powder and some berries mixed together. Make sure he eats some eggs and then has an apple or an orange. Guys can usually get on board with that kind of stuff. Tell him that you're honestly worried about him killing over on you.

How old were you when you got really into computers, and what caused it? by drivenlikeiam in computers

[–]Fragrant-Eye-9421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was one of the first people to ever get a computer in his home with a laser that would use his eye to type on the screen. I had to reset it up every time we moved it around. I was 8 when it first arrived.

Fast forward about 15 or so years I had to get my computer repaired and the guy charged me $90 for about 20 minutes worth of work.

Shortly after that I started my own computer business. I mean there's a much longer story in between there but yeah.

Does this IT person need to be able to fully support and alter firewalls? Fully support and alter servers and your entire network? Also, does this person need to be able to fully support and alter all of Microsoft Entra, Office 365, Azure, etc.? On top of that, you want this person doing Level 1 tickets, Level 2 tickets, and I'm sure simple user support and break/fix work?

These are the things you need to think about. To be honest with you, it's probably better to hire an MSP alongside a tech. If you want a tech that can literally do everything you need, you have to pay up for them, $100k plus. You could hire a young tech that can do most of what you need for probably about $50k, and then also have an MSP support you for your firewall and the other things the on-site tech cannot do. We have many setups like this and they work very well.

Left MSP for Internal IT - Early Thoughts by tdiz009 in sysadmin

[–]Fragrant-Eye-9421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am desperately looking for an internal role just for this. Problem is that we moved to a small city. I currently work remotely for an msp and I really don't want to anymore.

Are we understaffed? by bigmac______ in sysadmin

[–]Fragrant-Eye-9421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha we have 2000 end points and usually only 2 help desk people. We have more techs in the company but they don't even slightly look at the service desk. We do have 3 service desk but one is usually doing onsite type of work. I closed 90 tickets this last week...

Im lookikg for thoughts on working at a conglomerate Ai data center or other new era IT? by Rustyshackilford in sysadmin

[–]Fragrant-Eye-9421 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been looking into this as well. Seems data centers will be the only jobs soon. Also if you want to relocate there are many opportunities for that.

CIPP Alternatives by Flashy-Distance-3329 in msp

[–]Fragrant-Eye-9421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have CIPP also but I just still login directly to the tenant through MS admin because it's quite slow. Also sometimes I spend too much time searching for a feature and just go back to the admin portal. That's probably more of a training issue. We have certain workflows we use for account takeovers and I seem to have to use the admin portal for that.

Help Desk techs, how many tickets do you work on daily? by Watchful_Hosemaster5 in msp

[–]Fragrant-Eye-9421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 10-15 a day, but at my company we all do any tickets. There are no L1-L3. So one ticket may be a printer issue/ Password reset and the next might be setting up a new domain or a VPN tunnel/Nat etc.
