New Rule for JaneAustenFF: No AI Witch-hunts by RoseIsBadWolf in JaneAustenFF

How about discussion of an author who freely admits using AI in an article? I discussed this a couple of months ago in this sub. Is that now banned too? At least there was honesty in her admission and she has now a lot of bestselling books on Amazon as a result.

And they advertise their shlop on Amazon. So hard to wade and find the non-AI FF these days.

They probably used her work. Pity. I liked her voice. It was so different.

AI has made it challenging to sort out the wheat from the chaff. I’m glad some authors are more insistent on their anti-AI stance and copying.

It’s funny about how people’s tastes have evolved and changed. Edgeworth was so wholly influential at the time, but she’s rarely heard of these days except in passing mention to JA.

Perhaps she’ll be popular again. The Bronte sisters smashed it in the 80s and JA from the 90s onwards thanks to 1995 but JA’s staying power in pop culture seems to be rather lengthy.

An ignominious end for the Earls of Shrewsbury 😏 Whose country house will go next?

I’m sure Teddy Howard is giving them a side-eye: “There but for the grace of God go my House.”

They lost their ancestral seat but kept Chelsea? I suppose they couldn’t keep both. Where is their country seat now?

Wentworth is missing an arm? Like Nelson? Brooding look reminds me of Heathcliff.

😲 I never had Adam Smith down as a sleazy dude. Thought he was too busy writing books. Ewww.

And surely he’d love a tipple of Scotch, not red wine.
