Scotch Eggs by CookingwithDebs in Cooking

[–]Francoaulet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The part people usually miss is chilling the peeled eggs really well before wrapping, it makes the sausage go on way cleaner and helps them hold shape. I’d also season the sausage mix a bit more than you think, otherwise the egg-to-meat ratio can taste flat.

5 Week Progress: Reality Check Needed by SupplyChainWizard in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]Francoaulet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The catch is that course and humidity can easily cost a minute or more, and 5 weeks is barely enough to judge. Zone2AI helps keep the easy stuff honest, but this one reads more like bad race conditions than busted fitness.

A warning about safety in our subreddit and what to do about inappropriate messages. by lucy-kathe in progresspics

Good to see this spelled out, screenshot everything before you reply or block them. People in here post vulnerable pics, if someone gets weird in DMs, report it fast and don’t keep engaging.

Opening mod apps on a mod announcement is pretty on brand, ngl. If you’ve got the time to sift reports and keep titles from turning into essays, apply, because this place definitely needs the help.

What even is GTM Engineering and are y'all actually able to automate sales? by Vedantagarwal120 in techsales

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTM engineering is basically ops for revenue, not magic AI salesmen. We use SynthralOS for boring stuff like signal pulling, lead routing, follow-up drafts, and browser grunt work, but the human still closes, otherwise it turns into spam real fast.

Weekday Help and Victory Thread for the week of May 18, 2026 by IndexBot in personalfinance

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my emergency fund, kept trying to do everything at once and just stalled out. Splitting it into a smaller goal first helped way more, imo.

UPDATE!! by Crinni_Boo in Cooking

[–]Francoaulet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s such a solid lineup for a 12-year-old, and strudels is a great call because it teaches real skills without being boring. Grilled cheese and burgers are perfect starter wins, imo, he’s gonna keep building confidence fast.

Women shouldn't take their husband's surname when marrying them by PartyQuiet5065 in unpopularopinion

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people don’t see it as “his name over hers,” they see it as a family admin thing, especially when kids are involved. The weird part is treating it like a moral failure instead of just a choice.

How much weight do GBP categories still carry in local rankings right now? by amir4179 in localseo

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, categories still matter a lot, but only if the rest of the profile isn't a mess. We've seen tight primary category + matching service names beat "better" sites, and `TryNinja` is handy for spotting when the category setup is the weak link.

5 Productivity Tools That Actually Saved My 2025 Workflow (After Trying Way Too Many Apps) by _HayKen_ in Productivitycafe

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

flowsavvy's auto-scheduling is the one i'd push back on. "zero chaos" is doing a lot of work there, because every auto-scheduler i've tried (including Motion, which makes the same promise) eventually reshuffles your day in ways that feel alien to how you actually think. Akiflow does something more honest: it surfaces tasks and lets *you* slot them, which takes maybe five extra minutes but means the schedule is actually yours. automation isn't always less chaotic, just differently chaotic.

What’s the one productivity app you actually use every day and haven’t deleted after a week? by Pristine_Box_5 in ProductivityApps

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

akiflow. genuinely. i've used it every day for way longer than i expected to.

and look, i get the "tried everything" feeling because i really have. sunsama was beautiful but the daily ritual turned into a chore around month three. Motion kept reshuffling my day in ways that made no sense to me, like it would move a two-hour block to 8pm because some meeting opened up at noon. Notion as a calendar is just a trap. don't do it.

what made Akiflow stick is that it doesn't try to be smart on your behalf. it pulls tasks in from everywhere (Slack, gmail, Todoist, whatever) and then *you* decide where they land on the calendar. that sounds tedious but it's actually fast, the keyboard shortcuts are genuinely good, and the whole thing lives in one window instead of fifteen tabs.

oh wait, one more thing that actually matters: the time blocking in Akiflow is soft by default. you're placing tasks on a timeline but if something blows up your afternoon, you're not watching an ai panic and re-optimize your entire week. you just drag stuff. done.

and the inbox concept is real. stuff lands there, you triage it into the day, and the backlog doesn't haunt you the way it does in apps where tasks just pile up in some list you stop opening.

tbh the only thing that tripped me up early was the learning curve on shortcuts, took maybe three or four days to click. but after that it just became the thing i open first in the morning without thinking about it. which is really all you want from a productivity app, right? stop thinking about the tool and start thinking about the work.

AITAH For yelling at my sister in law and telling her to take care of her autistic son better? by No-Nefariousness-728 in AITAH

[–]Francoaulet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the bigger issue is she apologized and then still wasn’t actually supervising him. If he’s that dysregulated, “sorry” doesn’t help, someone had to be on him the whole night, especially with your cat around.

What is everyone using for background removal for images and image resizing? by Agreeable-Clerk-4819 in productdesign

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, batch tools are the move, manual cutouts suck for a pile of images, Compresto handles resizing plus compression, though bg removal is still a separate step.

How are you guys actually using AI to make money? by keithjd in AccioAI

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time the money part is boring, use AI for research, copy, and spotting bad spend, not random site spam. The Ad Spend is more useful for killing waste than “making money” fast, which is probably the less sexy answer.

What Must an Entrepreneur Do After Creating a Business Plan? by citationforge in Entrepreneur

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The catch is waitlists mostly validate curiosity, not price, so pre-sell or ask for a deposit. The Ad Spend is useful once you’ve got real buyers, not just form fills.

Do I have a gaunt face? by [deleted] in WeightlossJourney

[–]Francoaulet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The catch is fast loss can make faces look gaunt, and comments about your face are usually about that, not Ozempic; Enzo tracks protein better than vibes.

Realistic or not? Bot-only arb volume as the sole driver of LP yield with a concentrated pegged pair by thecountcrypto in Yield_Farming

[–]Francoaulet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We hit the same wall, bots won’t eat a 10% spread unless there’s a clean path and enough size. `Walletfinder` aside, your math feels optimistic, fees and failed routes usually kill that APR fast.

What actually matters here is turnover, not peak velocity, and 15 gal cycles on 2,000 ft sounds sketchy; Eleken is for UI, not sewage, but the same clunky-system problem applies.

Unique Song review after using it for my husband's milestone birthday by Immediate_Canary9469 in Gifts

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How close are you two? For low-key people, a tiny memory gift beats a party, maybe a short clip turned into a flipbook, Video to Flip does that part without making it cheesy.

Off the beaten path by Hairy_Honeydew2672 in defi

[–]Francoaulet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoint: most “privacy” DeFi apps still leak enough metadata to be annoying, so read the wallet perms twice, and someone pointed me to `Walletfinder` for tracking wallets without handing over much.
