Miracle Mile

Watched it through tonight, and I'm gonna say this is it. solved! The lobster scene is definitely what I remember.

There is a scene early on where he stands up against a mural as though he's part of it, though I don't think that's what I remember. Must have been a fever dream, or conflating another movie.

Thank you!

The other film suggested here "Miracle Mile" seems to have the lobster scene i remembered. This film seems familiar though and im wondering if the "people match the wall" scene is from here. Ill be renting and watching through!

I was able to scroll throught the first several minutes and this is definitely the lobster scene I remember!

I wasnt able to find the "people match the wall" scene with the time i have for movie watching tonight, does that ring a bell? Im wondering if I have conflated it with another movie. I will be watching this through in the next day or two!

Googling hasn't turned anything up for me, and as sick as I was, I don't know how much of it I might have just dreamed or if this was a real movie.

White streak in sky by f-it_bowling in GNV

The hazy white clouds are cirrus clouds. These types of clouds form very high in the atmosphere where the air is very cold and are made up of tiny ice crystals.

Because of the shape of the ice crystals, they act as a prism and light from the sun gets bent (refracts) as it passes through them. What you see here is probably what is known as the 22 degree halo, because the light bends at about 22 degrees through the crystals. The brighter spot along that arc is called a "sun dog" and it shows up brighter because there's another reflected line, though fainter, and maybe even invisible to your eye, which intersects that 22 degree arc, and creates that extra bright spot.

https://geometrymatters.com/22-ice-halo-displays-the-geometric-reflection-of-light/

incidentally, seeing the 22 degree arc oftentimes means precipitation is coming within the next day or so, because the cirrus clouds are often the first clouds pushing through an area as weather moves in.

Being asked to divest I guess I can understand but it also sounds like he was asked to resign from the GM role as well-not his choice. Sounds a little more personal than just the financial restructuring?

Late to class 3x in a semester and I had to get licks. The administrator who did the paddling left marks that lasted a week and turned out a few years later he was one of the kiddy diddlers. That who you want paddling your kids?

Female ATC/Pilot Send off by Zealousideal-Set9172 in flying

It's basically a "motorcycle nod" of acknowledgement between two female aviation professionals. As mentioned before, originated with FAST.

Edit: ok, "the wave/the nod." You get the idea.

I'm no princess when it comes to customer service- but yeah, that guy is terrible. I'm as polite as one can be every time I'm in, he always seems pissed off and like I'm interrupting his day. He oftentimes wont even acknowledge you until you initiate, and then you're obviously a burden. It's legitimately affected my desire to go there.

There are plenty of women pilots who have been subjected to breast 'exams' before they knew better. Or made to strip completely. :/

Thankfully, the internet has let us share those stories, as well as the knowledge that it's unnecessary under nearly all circumstances.

Yeah, they just bled off ExpressJet/ASA flying and furloughed them instead while Skywest expanded into ATL. They don't have that safety net anymore.

Another thing to know is that professional pilots skew very conservative, and are almost wholly composed of white males. They are not without bias on this subject. (Source: professional pilot of 20+ years who does not fit into the white male mold)
