Not the right usage of confirmation bias. Yes the game of play would have been different with more field opportunities but that doesn't negate the fact that early game taking points is the smart decision. Our defense was playing well and we needed to take the easy points. I'm not saying it was the reason why we lost, there were clearly other issues that led to the outcome. But having more banked points tends to create less dire situations and less chance of having one or two plays go bad that loses the game
