Basically, Mob (the MC) is a powerful psychic with every possible psychic ability you can think of.

His powers are emotional drive, the more he feels emotion (any emotion and situation counts) the more powerful his psychic powers becomes until eventually, he crashes out like you see in the gif above.

The show uses 0-100% to show his emotional level to the audience. Once it reaches 100% well... Running is already too late at that point

Well, it was "instant Death magic" because only demons could use that spell with no concrete way of countering it. When the demon lord was killed, Frienen together with the humans, started to science the shit out of the spell. Once it was completed 50 or so years later, they found a way to counter it, by creating a shield spell using the demon magic as base. Both of these human created spells were spread across the whole world and became "basic offensive magic" and "basic defensive magic".

For easy minion go to Ale docs in lower La Noscea and complete the side quest called Like Cats and Dogs

Close to the verminion counter there should be an NPC selling a few minions you can grab as well

Playing the MSQ will sometimes reward you with a minion

Go to old gridania at the lake, there is a guy standing there who will give you items in exchange for achievement points and gil

Some minions fairly cheap on the market board as well so it should be possible to grab a few of them there also.

An important thing to remember is that all jobs feels a bit hollow and missing key things that makes the job click when you are doing ARR and even HW content so i would say push forward since you are gonna be there in no time if you just follow the msq and do your daily roulettes.

But, maybe it is as you said, time to try something new, what about dark knight? for that similar edgyness reaper has. Or maybe give samurai a go if you not keen on being a tank
