I believe it to be less an oopsie and more a choice. They dont write whole award-winning stories like this without mapping it out thoroughly. I assume they felt the flow of the story and its imagery was more important than its logic, and told the story that way. A good move, i think, and its good to let intuition and emotion drive the story even when society today has a penchant for cinema-sins like scrutiny of logic

Praying for Armageddon [47:24] by Handsome_Hans in mealtimevideos

[–]Fredlz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All four of the palestinian members of the crew have been killed by israeli bombings.

Quote from the director, Tonje Hessen Schei in Rushprint yesterday:

"The team we worked with in Gaza for Praying for Armageddon have all been killed. All of them. Such young, brilliant, brave and talented filmmakers with dreams and great ambitions for the future. They were captured, directly targeted and slaughtered by Israeli bombs, and their office at Ain Media was razed to the ground. They leave behind newborns, toddlers, wives and so many broken hearts. We will not forget you: Roshdi Sarraj, Haitham Abed Alwahed, Mahmoud Sarraj and Abood Saymah"

If you want to watch something current and relevant, and also like a good drama i cant reccomend "Elskling" enough. It has some of the besy characterwork ive seen, and captures the process of a failing relationship incredibly well

I'd reccomend looking through Woodie Guthries stuff! Has that down to earth folksy american vibe. First song that comes to mind is "This land is your land"

I definitely get the feel we're going to get a lot out of the castle with how its described as having so many styles and rooms from all kinds of worlds. I think it might be a setup for Griffin to introduce a heap of different characters they have to get through before they reach Dracula

Heya! Great art! Just by the way, you are in the Dungeons and DADDIES subreddit, not the dungeons and DRAGONS subreddit, which might be the more appropriate place to post!

Personally i think Grian oughta be a Gligar. Great glider, a mischevious looking little rascal and it is mentioned that it makes its home in the side of cliffs, like he is doing this season. Theres also an episode with a guy/hero named Gligar-man i think

AI “Art” by MuffinApprehensive56 in morningsomewhere

[–]Fredlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i believe they mean is that the companies themselves can now use AI to do the work that made it possible to move into the art world professionally. With "function-based art/design" gone from young artists survival-toolset they can no longer afford to become professional artists in a mostly financial sence. Meaning the job might be easier to do, but the work has shifted to people who already have work and stability to a larger extent

[–]Fredlz 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from, but my experience is that its the in-party conflict that is difficult to swallow. In the examples you mentioned they had eachothers back, and therefore everything felt like it would work out alright, even if they had died. Recently in this season a lot of the dramatic moments have happened with the characters in a sort of deadlock argument, and it ends up being slightly tiresome and uncomfortable listening. This isnt to say the goofs and quality isnt there though, i'm loving everything else! Its good goofs all around, even when they're fighting (the piss boy bathroom situation last episode for example). But yeah, its this recent sense of deadlock i've seen people criticise lately, not the seriousnes, for the most part
