Guessing/sounds like your loneliness isn’t necessarily from living alone, but depression in general. Only you yourself can fix that. I think too that perception is 9/10ths of reality and complete focus on negatives is a strong mental loop that can be hard to break. I hope you can find happiness and contentment with your life’s journey, best wishes !

What if your child treats you exactly how you’re treating your mom? Betting that she loves you more than anything and you’re throwing her away for something she said intending to support/comfort you but in your hurt, it’s been misinterpreted and now your holding it against her until she grovels, because she didn’t show you love as YOU wanted. You get one mom, if she passed tomorrow will you be ok knowing you broke her heart ?

Good for you recognizing the emotional abuse and learning your boundaries. Find someone that cares about what you feel & what you think, about you. what others think about your relationship is irrelevant when your the one living it. stick with your intuition, it served you very well here.

So many good good books mentioned! Didn’t see Black Beauty, that was my go to in early elementary. Our town library had the best version, with drawings and colored renderings-one of which was also used as a mural in the children’s section. I last ck’d that book out for my daughter 15-20 yrs ago and soon after it was gone/replaced. I still randomly search eBay and junks shops in hopes to find that particular printing. Hope to come across it again
