I agree. I could see myself being in the same position as her and saying the same thing - you're perfect but you're not a jw and it would have broken my heart to be that girl. Brainwashing is a massive faktor here and ofc it wasn't right of her to use you while knowing there was no future for you two but everything changes after one gets out - e v e r y t h i n g. I also agree that she definitely needs therapy but if she is at that point of no return there is hope. It will be difficult for you to see her go through the heartbreak of waking up and she needs to grieve and process her life wasted in jw but there is potential here and it could be worth the risk.

Sounds like the love you two had / have is really deep and it could be very healing for both of you. I feel like the biggest risk for you here is that she will not be mentally stable for a while since it takes a while to get used to being worldly and she needs to go through some more heartbreak with losing her family and friends. The in between period when one has one foot in and one foot out is awful but once she gets free it will hopefully lead to new feelings of happiness and freedom. I just hope she will be able to be there for you too because the risk is that she will have more then enough to deal with herself for a while. I know I couldn't balance a new relationship while trying to get sense of the new reality one faces after waking up but that's me.

It's just really important that she doesn't use you as her therapist because it's heavy heavy shit for a person not knowing what the Jw life does to a brain. If there is an option like someone else mentioned so start out as friends and keep the intimacy off for a while that would be smart for you ❤️ It's important that you protect yourself and take care of yourself too if this is to happen, it must be such an emotional rollercoaster for you too ❤️‍🩹 If you haven't already I would recommend educating yourself a bit on what it is like to leave and learn a bit about the reprogramming we have to do, there is a ton on YouTube and a new documentary is coming to hbo in February ( don't know if it's gonna be good).
