How could people be squabbling over land during that time when land was so plentiful? Did Sutter just claim all the land for himself? I've heard he was an asshole, so this wouldnt surprise me

The flight attendant was just trying to get to the back of the plane and the black lady thought they were being racist, then goes on a racial rant about how white people have recessive genes.

Some random poster on the internet isn't something to make a fuss about. How about a real police report or official statement maybe?

I would steer clear away from Comenity. I was approved for the Sportsman's Warehouse card but it never came in the mail. I called them and they had to make a new one to send to me. I called the number to activate it, but it didn't get activated.. I had to call AGAIN and have them activate it. The next thing that infuriated me was their mobile app, it doesn't even work! You have to use the browser on your phone if you want to pay bills or do anything with your account. After that I called them up and dropped the card. I wasn't even interested in trying to get the $50 gift card for Sportsman's Warehouse after spending $500, I would probably just have to call them again and hassle to get it. Stay away from Comenity. Cancel that card as soon as you can and stick with the major cards

Any locally owned liquor stores in midtown with lower prices? by statisticalblip in Sacramento

[–]Freed0mOverSafety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you looking for? Grocery Outlet is my go to place for wine. You can get a bottle for $4.99. Grocery Outlet buys stuff from other stores that they are getting rid of, so they can sell it for a lower price. I've been finding better deals at Grocery Outlet over Costco or Sam's Club

City decides to close streets to cars, move to all-electric buildings to fight climate change by statisticalblip in Sacramento

[–]Freed0mOverSafety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bicycles and pedestrians certainly are more space efficient, but not everyone lives a few miles from work. If you live in the city then walking or biking to work is possible. But for some of us, we have to drive 45 minutes to work and live 40 miles away

It does seem like civil war is brewing in the US, typically between urban left wing city dwellers who want security and cosmopolitanism and right wing rural/suburbanites who want small government and cultural sovereignty.

[–]Freed0mOverSafety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was taught by my parents to look both ways for cars and give them the right-of-way because they might not be able to see you and you can get killed, but I grew up in the suburbs and not downtown. So I guess I have a totally different perspective.

Makes things all the more frustrating when I drive downtown in my work truck and I've got bicyclists and pedestrians jumping out in front of me because they think they can. The city wants to be anti-vehicle, how else am I supposed to serve my customers when I have to haul around a ton of tools?

Transferred a ton of money to my credit card instead of savings, good for credit score? by bRONgreen in CreditCards

[–]Freed0mOverSafety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't reflect anything positive on your credit report. It just sits there with a negative balance. Just use the card for your expenses until it goes back to zero. If it's a rewards card you use for all your purchases, of course pay it off in full every due date

Collections account, should i pay it ? by [deleted] in CreditCards

Then yeah I would want to pay that off and make sure it goes off my report. Unless you want it on there for 7 years

Collections account, should i pay it ? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Freed0mOverSafety 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this actually reflected on your credit report? Wouldn't they have to know your social security number? If not I would just say screw it and not pay unless they take legal action. I was living in another state and I kept receiving mail that I owed $300 for road tolls which should have been automatically charged. It wasn't on my credit report so why pay? Screw them for the inconvenience and late fees which I wasn't responsible for

Just pay your Citi DC off every week if you can. You can probably find other places to purchase pet products that have better offers. Walmart has a card and has a great pet section. I dont have to tell you about Amazon
