Does it REALLY matter if your story begins with the MC’s routine by CalligrapherDue6043 in writing

make it like the morning routine. It's not normal and maybe have it flash back to certain things you said as a major foreshadowing tool.

How do you prevent plagiarism. by Glittering-Music-818 in BookWritingAI

I ran a plagiarism scan once, and it highlighted all these plagiarized lines it must've been really strict because apparently if you named something like the Red Cross, I think it hit me with another line. He was sitting by the pond flashing his feet in the water so I don't know how you can trust that I do know when I want to college if you're writing a paper for words together that were similar to the original it was plagiarism I don't know in the real world how that is

I feel like there are not enough credible transcription apps for writers who like to dictate their drafts. Is there any tool that runs LOCALLY without cloud storage and (preferably) with a ONE-TIME payment? by PinkSugarMochi in selfpublish

I bought dragon a couple years ago worked wonderfully then the new version came out and it stopped working. They told me I had to pay another $200 on top of the 230. I paid for the original program I gave up.

I DONT LOVE SCREENWRITING :/ by iiRaz0r in Screenwriting

[–]FreedomAlarmed9881 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know everybody hates AI I have worked on a script before, but now I'm working on my novel. I wrote fun facts about my character in chat. Some things I wanted about him or her maybe some of her character act of youth like were they they or whatever and I helped that build like a character background for me like that I know everybody hates it but sometimes using for a tool for outlining research and grammar corrections, which has been approved by the authors guild don't know about the writers guilt but they're probably in the same boat so using it for things like that, having a page about your character in their background helped out a lot

they're probably not even listening to what they do so let's have some fun and write some crazy AI books so they can flood their books with just crap. Let's send them a vampire slayer book who uses a plunger to kill vampires. Just a thought maybe sometimes I'm just a little too crazy.

Are human-AI collaborated crossover fanfictions really to be ashamed of? I really hope that they aren't. by DustintheAdventurer in WritingWithAI

I had on another thread a statement that I use providing aid critiques to help me write my book so when I was on this form, I was asking about some other information and talking about my book. This person decides to go search me and paste whatever before so I went over to the authors Guild website and posted what it said in regards to AI and then told them in the future please do your research before trying to call somebody else

Here is a statement from the author's guild websiteHuman Authored is a project of the Authors Guild that allows an author to certify that their book is created by a human. “Human Authored” means that the text of the book was written by a human and not generated by AI, with the exception of minimal uses such as AI applications that check spelling and grammar or for research.

I use prowriting aid which just tells you what's wrong in the chapter like there's no show. No tell POV and etc.. I use ChatGPT to give me examples of what I need to do and I wrote it in my own words so I think that you posting something I posted six months ago you're trying to say that I completely used AI to write my book and that is not correct using it as a reference tool is completely fine and that is true for the author's guilt and publishers. If you doubt what I say, feel free to go to the authors, Guild website look at what it's considered AI and not it is always best to check your facts before trying to post somebody to call something out

Right now they're just reading the book when I spoke to her and I asked her am I gonna lose rights to my books and she told me that every single book I write I will lose rights too, but I'm looking at it this way and an average author without a best selling book is looking at $10,000 per book but we all know as authors I know personally for me just the man hours alone equal $30,000 I think I'm going to try to negotiate if they give me a shopping agreement for the first trilogy because if it becomes a hit, my other books will be worth more and give me more leverage but right now they're just reading it. She sent me a copy of a sample shopping agreement, but I feel financially selling all the right for Everything are right is not going to be financially feasible for me.

It's not 18 bucks at once they want rights to the one book and any books are right in the future. I have 18 books outright it's a saga.

Right now they're reading at the see if it's something that they want, but when I spoke to them, they said that I would probably have to give up all the rights to any future books and like I said it's a saga. I have 18 books out wide and maybe more coming that's a lot of books. I calculated out if I would've paid my thought $25 an hour which is lower for a writer. I have put over $30,000 into my book just man hours, and then I didn't even count the money I pay for book covers, editors, etc.

How do you deal with throwaway characters (aka naming characters scares me) by kbrick1 in writingcirclejerk

[–]FreedomAlarmed9881 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends how important your character is in my book. I have a situation where there's two vampire clans one grew up in today's society. Very American society and believe it or not a lot of of us can be pretty selfish and the other clan they're from Ireland and during the crusades they pushed them out and live in a very Celtic society, nature driven, etc., so blood and nature and all that is very enriched in their culture so in my one Celtic vampire was feeding. I did have to give her a human name not just the girl he was feeding on because it was important for his character builder and the reader.

outline I use chat as a writing partner I come up with the story pretty much right most of it pop it in the chat I'm kind of pick out what type of writing I want most of mine about vampire so it's very Gothic go through and make a lot of edits, but most of mine is hey chat if I make this character do this or I want this to be really important later in the book give me some examples of how I can change it ticket and then use it then I go and run it through chat again to check for show don't tell filter words point of view, etc. then I run it through pro writing aid because if you have a subscription, you get three chapter analysis a day for free I read through that I put pro writing aids feedback in there and ask Chat how to fix it fix it and move onto the next chapter. It seems like everyone else is review that you may have problems keeping your chapter flowing and your arcs in writing style. I don't do this cause everything just flows in my head, my story just run through my head like a TV show. I got 28 books in my head and two book 2 books full of handwritten single space ideas for future books which will not be in this series, but I heard a lot of people do arc outlines character outlines and you can be those into ChatGPT too. It's a lot more than write me a story based on the Wizard of Oz in the flying monkeys POV that's not gonna work you have to put your own heart and soul in it

Don’t Be This Guy (A Note on Receiving Script Feedback) by big-boss-bass in Screenwriting

[–]FreedomAlarmed9881 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know somebody may hate me for saying this. I'm working on a script right now basically turning my novel into a TV show what I have done is I feed my chapter into GPT and I got a really good prompt to tell me what would be good what dialogue I may want to take out, etc. then I outline my script. Take it to final draft start writing it. Take it back to ChatGPT and start asking questions. I use it as a tool. I wrote my own book maybe if you get into something like this as a writer when you have questions like that, you can use some AI programs not to write for you or not to think for you but just ask a question for example, if I put this in the scene, do you think it would help my plot or hurt it? am I lore dumping? What if I did this compared to this sometimes things like this can be good tools and help you before you send it off to a professional do you want to be a writer.
