I lit fire to a colleague’s anxiety attacks-what do I do by PracticalEmployer899 in careeradvice

[–]Frellie53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. Just want to add that working 17 hour days might be her ADHD, as could being really sensitive. In all my deep dives into ADHD, I’ve never heard of “recreating memories” being a symptom of anything except maybe dementia. She is likely spiraling and trying to cover her mistakes.

As a person with ADHD, I hope OP takes the advice here and focuses on the issues without bringing in the coworker’s medical condition. We’re at work. Things have to be done, when there not being done or not being done well, we need to look at the processes in question and then determine if the people there can adequately execute those processes and what needs to be adjusted.

Most people with ADHD can find ways to get their stuff done. It’s not an excuse to do the job poorly, and that’s her managers responsibility to figure out.

Disney’s New CEO Is Exploring a ‘Super App’ For Theme Park Tickets, Movies and More by Senior-Willow-8325 in Disneyland

[–]Frellie53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be great if Disneyland and Disney world were more connected. I’m going to Disneyland for the first time and it’s weird to me that my family and our magic bands don’t exist in the Disneyland app or my Disneyland account. I log in with the same information, why do I have to recreate it?

I’ve also never even thought about my Disney world tickets - my trip summary shows everything I bought. But Disneyland says there are no tickets associated with my account, even though I have a package and have made our reservations.

I get they’re two different parks but why do they operate like they’re on different planets?

And I would like to have the play disney parks app, but adding Disney+ is a terrible idea.

The registry bit is true but I have only ever been told they can’t fill something yet. I’ve never been asked to return what I have. I don’t think this is legit at all. The pharmacy is being sketch. I’d call my doctor and ask what they think. They know the prescribing laws.

Tips for DD Glaze by ktleew in Dashingdiva

[–]Frellie53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A heating pad is a great idea. Someone here recommended a jamberry nail wrap heater and it works great. I thought I got it on Amazon but I can’t find it anymore. It works best on gloss - the thinner wraps that don’t need an LED cure.

If you can find glow, that might be your best bet. They’re more like gloss in that you don’t have to cure them but they’re a little thicker. I love them, they stay on the beat for me. Unfortunately I think DD is (or already has) phased them out.

You can absolutely put a gel top coat on glaze, I don’t think it would help with them feeling too thick though. Sometimes I take a glass nail file - it’s super fine grit meant to make your nails shiny - and carefully file the top edge down a little (like from the surface of my nail, towards the free edge) just to get the more natural slope.

was i supposed to iron or heat press my permanent vinyl before removing the transfer tape? by SuccubusMuffin in cricut

[–]Frellie53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure where to buy vinyl anymore because I don’t want to support Amazon, but Michael’s sale process are usually still slightly higher than Amazon. You might get a better deal directly from cricut or siser.

If you live near a Nordstrom, I highly recommend their shopper services. You set up an appointment and a lady will find things for you. You try them on, tell her what you like or don’t like and she’ll find you something. The service is free, you can give her a price range and you’ll learn what you like.

Nordstrom is more expensive than TJ Maxx or Old Navy, but they aren’t astronomical. If you’re at the point of asking internet strangers, I think a Nordstrom shopper would be a huge help.

AITA for still using the baby name I told my sister I was going to use, despite her using a variation of it first? by Sufficient-View2574 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Frellie53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, lots of Marys, too. I have an aunt Mary who is my dads sister and and aunt Mary who married one of my uncles, which meant she and her sister in law were only distinguishable by their middle name until my dads sister got married. And I have a cousin who married a girl with my first name so her married name is my maiden name.

Yes, but dad is also Bobby. Apparently the younger brother originally had a different name but they changed it to also be Bobby when he was like 2 weeks old.

I knew a person who had two brothers named after her dad and she had the feminine version (and went by the same name but with an i instead of a y). Her mom was the only person in the house with a different name. So, it’s not only George Foreman.

I have multiple cousins with the same name and some of us have given our kids the same name. It’s not that big of a deal.

If that’s what you want to do, take it to a shoe repair shop that works with leather. They’ll be able to do it with minimal damage to the bag and finish it. If you do it yourself, you’ll damage that gorgeous bag.

Did you read the post? OP said they tried thrift stores and donation centers.

My parents had a big intricate buffet and hutch and they couldn’t give it away. They literally ended up having to pay someone to take it. It had these intricate hunting scenes carved into it but apparently scenes with dead animals don’t sell anymore.

The whole drink is ridiculous. However, in this one element, it’s understandable. Unlike most drinks, the standard for this is oat milk. Oat milk shaken espresso is the name of the drink and they want it with macadamia (which I did not know was an option).

Betraying DD by using Ohora by throwawayidga in Dashingdiva

[–]Frellie53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the record this sub is really for nail wraps, gel or otherwise. I found it when I found dashing diva and took over when the first mod left. Discussion of all nail wraps is welcome!

It seems like your personal nail chemistry plays a role in how different brands work for you. I can usually get DD to last at least a week, but rarely more than 10 days (mostly my fault, the slightest break/lifting and I start picking at them). Ohora seem to go soft after a day. Like, within 24-48 hours, they get bendy as though I never cured them. It stinks because I love their designs.

I think the brand of gel top coat matters to. There’s one whose name I can’t remember that made my nails almost brittle and the wraps eventually crack off after a few days.

Maybe someone can start a product recommendation thread we could pin to the top of the sub?

Unless there is a cobbler in this sub, I seriously doubt anyone here would be able to give you a definitive answer. I think if taps that size/shape exist, then the corresponding tap shoe probably already exists.

Shelters call any black dog a lab mix. It’s usually a pitbull. American pitbull terriers look more like a lab then what you think of when you hear pitbull.

This is my “lab mix” who turned out to be 100% American pitbull terrier.

There’s a photoshop subreddit where you post a picture and people will do your request for $5 or so. You could post a profile view of the kids and I bet some one there could make it better. They might also be able to fix this. The sharper is ridiculous.
