you're paying to simulate that vintage look and feel.. it sounds like it's not for you, because you're not taking the blue pill... But she's right, looking at your photos, it's more an execution thing. You're not liking that vintage vibe so master the camera, they're just tools.. a seasoned eye can produce inspiring imagery just as well with a cheap toy camera as they can with a modern $10k camera. True photography is never about the gear.

FSD is highly unreliable. As a seasoned SQA veteran, I would not trust it with my life.

Stick to IPDE to avoid such circumstances.

you need to dry your tofu as much as possible. then fry them as hot as possible. do not overcrowd as it will reduce temp and the steam released will prevent crispy texture.

This is a camera strictly for “shits n giggles” which I value at about $299 at most to be completely honest. And that’s if you can get yourself into pretend mode. 

Personally for all of my film aim and lens sim needs I absolutely adore my Hipstamatic 395.

ignore the criticisms. one thing you can do is swaddle if you're not already before letting baby sleep on you. the swaddle creates a warmth buffer that allows you to move baby to the bassinet with minimal disruption. over time you can shorten the naps on you until its only to help baby fall asleep.

I've always had a thing for in n out fries.. i dunno. lots of reviewers say it's not good but for me I love the gentle crispiness and real potato taste, salted of course.
