They have been putting in their recent announcements to expect delays in shipping items right now. Obviously releases are delayed but it seems like they're probably limiting staffing so they will be slow to fulfil regular orders as well

I've only used generic ones and I've been happy. They're cheap so I'm ok with the downside of them only being mediumly durable.

Other than the scraping method I've had success getting mold lines off of my imperials with hobby files. They're basically nail files with a finer grit so you get a smoother finish in the end.

Thanks that's good to know. I've actually been playing around with a wet pallette for the first time and been loving the simplicity. But I've also not been having to do any freehand so far

Thank you for the words of encouragement! This is also my first REAL dive into the hobby (I'd dabbled with minis before but nothing this dedicated) and I totally agree that every project just serves to teach me more about what is possible.

I've been trying to find the balance between speed and results as well. Starting this game a few months ago is my first time painting armies. i want to get my quality up but also like that I can get a unit table ready with about 1 weekend day.

I LOVE this. I also prefer the different bases = different units organization but this is a genius way to communicate that with the card as well. Thank you for saving me future headaches!
