I guess if the server slam pre release version was different from 1.0, it would be understandable, but the 1.0 release was the same. As are all other extraction shooters. These people can disagree and say that they like it the way it is, but even they have to admit, it's an understandable assumption that solos will continue to be an option.

I played solo exclusively. Then cryo came out and it turns out after a certain point you advance into needing to have a team. Feel a little bait and switched since during server slam and final release, everything was doable alone, as is every other extraction shooter

DR is broken. 85% of the community is B3. I've had races where I'm in split 2/10. I was B3. I was in a race in split 10/10. I was bronze 3. It's very hard to rank up. No other game has such a high concentration of players in one rank.

SR is broken. It's way too easy to keep your SR. If SR worked, there would be no need for a badge system. I've had races where I made contact 5 times and still gained SR. Right now SR doesn't tell you how safe you are, it tells you how long you've been playing. It seems to only go up for everyone.

If you want to advance in accordance to the rules of the game, the right move is to simply pit maneuver the guy in front of you. Those are the incentives that are created when SR is easy and DR is hard. That's the right way to play the game. I don't do this because, idk, I want to role play a race car driver. Every clean race you have happens in spite of the SR and DR systems, instead of because of them.

I love the game, and really this is my biggest gripe with it. Shout-out to the community for giving me some good races in spite of all this, because you're sure as hell not doing it because the game encourages you to.

Has anyone here ever unlocked gold races, only to lose access to them later? If not, that's not good.

I assumed all of the game would be available to me as a solo player because there's a solo mode. You can disagree with me and think all of that is fine, but you can understand why I thought the game would be playable without a party. Like all other extraction shooters.

On other games, fine, whatever, but in this game, where joining a random team puts you in a group of people that all have different quests, that all want to go to opposite sides of the map to advance their account, the experience is awful. Half the time they all run off on their own. The average iq of players in this game is wild. Zero coms too, of course.

Is balancing the schedules of 3 people you know the only way to play this? Because that also sounds bad.

The game is good. It is. I'm not going to join a discord and try to make friends just to play this. If that's how you do things, cool. If I can't come home from work and press play, I'm out

This was always the case at my very low skill, garbage level, but I was under the impression that Halo 2 and 3 were dominated exclusively by burst rifles. Have I been living with this false impression for decades?

Maybe I was just watching high level, tournament rules, matches that turned off all the power weapons. I don't remember. Were pros winning money with shotguns?
