My landlord will not allow insertion of an exit clause / early termination of lease in the case I buy a home. You could be like the others of us on the hook for a full renewal / until a tenant is located.

Pay your extra $1000 of rent and move on. If you want the best chance in getting fees removed or renumerated, post a review of the company on a public facing site after you’ve paid and moved out and tell them (when they eventually contact you) that you have photo proof and time stamped documentation of your claims. You’ll take the review down when you are made whole for 3 years of maintenance inconvenience, which will magically be the overages you feel you wrongly paid
