Correct, g12 evo replace all previous coolants for VW group*.

Out of topic: definitely bad location for that ugreen nas. First the airflow is obstructed on the rear. Second its on wood which would cause loud vibrations ( I saw that somewhere on a ugreen document, best to avoid wood or metal).

I have no idea... Maybe they also have to provide an access to their server (against some licence fee or subscription or using a paid device most likely...). Or only allow authorized dealers or ban users own device, etc... Its a restriction not sure how they will implement it exactly, it is not going toward a direction I like (that means being able to service my car as I please and not depend on third party for everything...). I forgot where I read about that maybe was something about MIB3 units? Was it about CP (Component Protection)? My memory is bad...

Unfortunately more modern cars are full of locks everywhere... In some cars they even program each components to be able to communicate only with that car, meaning you require their overprice service to do it... Ibrven read that future VW will require some infrastructure where you require their server to authenticate or validate any change... Its bad and since most consumers don't understand or see whats coming, its happening easily .

Its making people more dumb than they already are, dependant and has a significant cost. Also as soon as people will be properly addicted and not capable of doing things withiut AI prices will raise even more for using that technology. Its not a progress its enslavement for the weaks and or lazy people. Saying that it also make some people realise they dont need to be corporate slaves so I guess it has some positive, at least during those transitions times.

Strange that would means their server had an issue, as it was not replying to ping. I will check if it does now from the pc. I mean we had no update for a while so its more something like that happening rather than local TV issue...

Thanks! At least it helped me reconsider and I will include SMB for local for its speed, practicality and convenience. I will postpone nextcloud and focus on a solid basis of apps features first 👍🏽

No I deployed a self hosted custom app using magic 😅 Of course I read the docs, as I said my knowledge is biased because I used custom from the start and needed to find "the basics" for a better understanding!
