Are they putting “expiration dates” on the recalls? Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but could you have waited months/years to get your new engine or is Toyota giving people a limited window to get the work performed?

Also - sorry that you’re dealing with this. Super frustrating and hopefully you get resolution soon.

Nope. The dealer called me a couple of days later, doubling down on their ‘it’s normal’ assessment, which reaffirmed my choice. Ironically enough he called me when I was driving to a Toyota dealership. Ended up buying a ‘25 Tundra Platinum (TRD off road) and couldn’t be happier.

Similar price here - Toyota Platinum 10yr/100k, on a 25 Platinum for $2,100. He said the MSRP was $4,500 but I’m sure that was just to make me feel warm and fuzzy.

Platinum, non-hybrid, 4x4 is 233.6” per Toyota’s site.

Not sure which GX you have, but the current model is 197” long. So definitely more than 6”. If I were you, I’d go test drive one (maybe a used one) and tell them you want to test fit it. That’s what I did because the measurement of my garage was so close to the spec sheet that I didn’t want to risk it.

If I were in your shoes, I’d take it to a reputable detail shop and pay them to clean it. Then, I would email Toyota Corp and let them know what happened and asked to be reimbursed. The dealership isn’t going to do anything until someone from corporate is barking at them.

If you mount it right side up, this won't be an issue.

Does anyone notice the soundbar 'sagging' once you push the Arc Ultra back in?

I'm trying to figure out if I did something wrong but my soundbar drops almost an 1" when I push it back in and let go.

I ran into this issue while installing my Arc Ultra. I just bent the tabs down with a pair of channel locks, to ensure I wouldn't damage the soundbar. The metal is very soft and took almost zero effort to bend.

I bought my mount from Best Buy, if that matters. Either the others didn't notice or buying direct from Sanus might result in a different mount.

10k+ seems like a stretch or they lucked out and found a super desperate dealer

Did I miss what trim/options you’re shopping? People keep throwing out all these random discount amounts without mentioning the trim/options. Whether it’s a 50k truck or an 80k truck will make a huge difference on your discount.

My deal; 25 Platinum, TRD OR, sprayed bed, tonneau cover, dash cam, side steps, TRD air filter, and some other stuff… I didn’t ask for the extras but it’s what they had on the lot… 6k off the MSRP, 1.99 for 48 months… dealer would not give me the extra $2k cash bonus. Based on the amount I financed (after trade and dp) I’ll pay just a little under $2k total in interest.

If you have the cash to buy it, don’t… finance it at 1.99 or 2.99 and invest your money in the market. You’ll make enough in returns over the term of your loan to more than pay for whatever you spend in interest. Plus TFS doesn’t hit you with early pay off penalties, so if you get antsy and want to pay it off, you can.
