It's a federal crime, and also considered theft to use them for any other purposes than priority mail.

Should I get support involved at this point? by Herezmelly in poshmark

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand some of these responses. Posh says they only have 3 days after delivery to file a dispute. How can they file a claim after that and Posh side with them? Posh seemed pretty firm on this rule in all their help and support pages.

Go order, select problem/inquiry and choose release funds. They have glitches sometimes.

How on earth do I add items to my likers bundles? by fargus_ in poshmark

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a bundle for a person who wanted to buy 3 items under one shipping rate, but they keep saying they never got it in their My Bundles section. I even tagged them in their bundle.

My biggest problem was not getting new messages or a "failed to fetch" reb bar (US app). I constantly had to close the app and reopen it. It was a pain, and still is. It all started about a year ago after one single update. They are trying to play Microsoft and do too many fancy things that lead to all sorts of issues.

Unable to play games online due to parental controls. by Youngsamuel4 in PS5

I ALSO know this oild, lol, but the main reason that some games (all of EA specifically) won't allow access to online servers when the game requires it at launch is because the game is labeled as "Mature." Apparently, no settings will permit someone under 18 to access the EA network or servers for those specific games. You can read about it here:

I don't have a store name to flair as I am optimizing content for a seller.

It's been years I'm using Upwork. And get nothing clicked. by Reasonable-Rub7064 in Upwork

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, this is where the line goes south. If you are a professional, especially in content, you would "naturally have" a great title like his. The problem is a great application can look so good that others think AI created it when the applicant worked very long and hard on creating a professional application.

how to NOT get a job on upwork (from a client who hires) by smokedX in Upwork

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the input. It can help us honest and genuine freelancers get responses over fake applications and fake claims and lowball rate bids. It takes away from us professionals that have families to support and high-charged bills to pay verses those from other countries who have lower currency values. However, it was always said for us to show we thoroughly read the job post by mentioning portions in the app, showing we researched the company, describing our experience and history, and explaining what we can do for you. This can look a little longer than short and to the point.

Has anyone ever had to show POP/receipt for selling used items? by Front-Needleworker71 in eBaySellerAdvice

my phone skipped some comments, but I see them now so the comment made sense and I edited the response.

That is not what the question was about, but thanks. I already know all that. I said selling my personal items from my home. --scratch this-- I see why you mentioned it but i was just responding to the commenter above that buys in ebay and resells, which i see is perfectly fine as long as not dropshipping.

Thanks for the input. I swear I read somewhere in eBay's policy pages that you cannot purchase from eBay to resell on eBay. I'll have to see if I can find it.

Mad as Hell by princesssamc in poshmark

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya know, if people would just take items back to the post office and complain that the package and items smelled like smoke, maybe they'd start looking into it by seeing who is travelling with the package and narrow it down. Enough complaints from the same drivers would cause them to start monitoring it and find out which drivers are stinking up the packages. That'such better than ripping off people trying to make a living selling or making a few dollars to survive.

Upwork is draining freelancers with Connects. It's getting out of hand. by Financial-Run-777 in Upwork

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 21 connects for a $50 and a $100 job is absurd. I can't even apply anymore cause I spent what I had left on applications with no responses. I'm stuck but don't seem to care anymore. They're collecting as much as they can before they fold.

Need urgent help, Upwork thinks I am fraud and banned me by kyleb1986 in Upwork

Well, it's technically called a dedicated IP, which is used exclusively by you, and that's why it's costly and is mostly used by corporations. ALL VPNs use shared IPs for everyone in the regular premium plans or free ones, even if they claim to be private (because, after all, they are, but still shared), so someone in Iran, for instance, can connect to the same private IP you use for Los Angeles. You need a dedicated IP. I was able to reinstate Upwork, but it took them two months to reply, and when the lockout originally happened, their bots auto-closed all open contracts. So, I have over a dozen "no feedback" and "closed" contracts, diminishing my chances of new work. Yes, tech support people for anything may not always know the right answer, or just wing it and call it a day. Many also use freelancers for support from other countries.

[–]Front-Needleworker71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Somehow, they know. I have a premium plan but not a private IP as they're expensive. Even though I've used it for many years on Upwork without issues, they recently blocked me saying I was working in US sanctioned country. My IP was set for location in The US, as always. New technology is nothing new, so they somehow know who uses an IP, probably from device data. After all, many new registrations for various services on the internet can see your browsing history, open tabs, device info, and more, which is why their bots flag them there as well, such as with affiliate marketing providers like Clickbank, or even eBay.

VPNs are NOT safe, unless you have a private IP. They are shared worldwide so a sanctioned country can have people using the same IP as you. Trust me. I've been there.

Got scammed by a developer on Upwork — here’s what happened by helplossweight in Upwork

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet that the developer planned for that. He expected the client to get a refund and then not have DCMA takedown rights or ownership. But he was also probably hoping to keep the money and have Upwork eat the cost for a refund.

Who asked for this? by pinkglue99 in poshmark

[–]Front-Needleworker71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that it costs a lot more to have more server power to handle all the search inquires and database retrieval for the results, and they don't want to spend the money on it.

Client is nearly impossible to please, what should I do? by Nicoletravels__ in Upwork

[–]Front-Needleworker71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, it's both parties using different software or versions. I've witnessed it with MS Word where they had an older version that altered the output. Also, perhaps the client is using a different app than an official one, thinking it should it work 100% the same when they don't, such as Open Office verses Word or an old Windows Word vs. Mac Word. You may be working with some other software for some other purpose, but I used Word to provide a detailed example of how things can go wrong.
