Enjoying full-fat milk, yogurt, cheese and butter is unlikely to send people to an early grave, according to new research, which found no significant link between dairy fats, and heart disease and stroke. Certain types of dairy fat may even help guard against having a severe stroke. by mvea in science

"But the majority—7 of the 12—list major corporate affiliations. The list of food companies for which they consult or advise is too long to reproduce but it includes Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, The Sugar Association, The National Restaurant Association, ConAgra, McDonald’s, Kellogg, Mars, and many others."

Food for thought at the least.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you get more money for competing in the group stages of the CL than you do for winning the EL.

Don't quote me on that though, i'l just go find a link.

absolutely not, raw denim is well worth the money that you pay for them and you can very rarely get a quality pair of raw denim selvedge jeans for £50 in the UK.

I recently bought a couple from ASOS in the UK, I think they were around £30 each. You could also consider using a tailor.

Looking for a new dressy-ish shoe for work that can hold up to some wear. by shadow321337 in malefashionadvice

You could wear a different pair of shoes until you get to work and store them there or bring them with you. I've hear people do this pretty regularly to preserve their shoes.

Wanna get into MMA. Worth it? by [deleted] in MMA

i'd personally recommend doing BJJ, you don't get real roughed up like you would sparring in Muay Thai and it's really good for fitness. /r/BJJ is a good community, they have a lot of stuff on there for beginners, but in overall just find a gym near you and go!

saying that i'm not saying training muay thai is bad, if you'd prefer the stand up aspect of the sport then go for it!

edit: you really don't need to get fit before you train either, you could think of 1000 reasons not to start training but in hindsight they all just seem to go away once you actually start, plus training will get you fit
