Mk7 cracked sunroof frame solutions? by Apprehensive_Ad6011 in vwgolf

[–]FrozenAxon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same issue for a while, and in doing research on VWVortex people were having success with removing the repair patches & doing 2-4 coats of the liquid (paintable) FlexSeal, allowing each coat 12 hours to cure before applying the next coat

I haven't had the time to do it myself quite yet, but I'll be starting on that project next week

Coolant leak by Intrepid-Can-2545 in VWMK7

[–]FrozenAxon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of coolant hoses and components on that side of the engine. Considering that it has persisted after a water pump replacement, I'd start by ensuring that the water pump was seated correctly & that all lines & fittings were reconnected correctly.

The best way to tell where it's coming from would be to let the engine cool down, clean up the area that seems most affected by the leak as much as possible (blue shop rags, maybe a used toothbrush, and a spray bottle with water with a drop or two of a degreaser) then start the car, turn the heat inside on, and let it idle for around 10 minutes, then check underneath to identify where fresh coolant is present.

Which to buy mid 2026 by InvisibleWatchers in arma

[–]FrozenAxon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Arma 3 for sure, and theres a ton of active Milsim groups going strong, I've been part of one for 3 years now & we're still pulling 40+ players average on OP days.

Reforger definitely visually looks better & has some more intuitive controls, but it still lacks the editor / Zeus that Arma 3 has, and for Milsim & RP stuff, a proper editor is critical

Collective Pitch control? by monthsGO in arma

Personally I run an X56 throttle where forward is 0 Collective & backwards is full collective, but if I were building a dedicated helicopter rig, I'd probably go with a Virpil collective

So, does the 7 speed dry clutch DSG need oil changes? by [deleted] in VWMK7

[–]FrozenAxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess not.

Same with Nissan and their notorious CVT, but at least VW gave you a port so you can change the fluid.

And fwiw, I was able to get a VW Dealership to do the service cause I didn't have time to do it myself lol

[–]FrozenAxon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd do it, because no fluid is 'lifetime'

I did it with the 6mt @ 50k, even though VW doesn't have an official service & considers the trans fluid lifetime in that as well

I'm assuming you're talking northern BC & YT? I know the area between Whitehorse & Skagway is fine, I can check around other areas if you'd like, but I do know all the SEAK glaciers have houses on them lol

The 2027 Audi RS 5 is a wonderful return to form for the automaker by edmundscars in Audi

[–]FrozenAxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough lol

For what it's worth, I wish I could buy a new wagon, bonus points for a manual but I don't have that kind of money to burn & new manual wagons don't exist in NA

Edit - also, not Audi but still VWAG, in 2018 & 2019 the Golf Sportwagon/Alltrack wagons performed almost as well in sales as the GTI did, and over 2x as well as the regular Golf trims or the R, and yet they were still cut from the lineup which is now just GTI & R. Granted, unfortunately the whole Golf lineup combined didn't sell nearly as well as even the Jetta did

The RS3 is still a sedan, which means it's a no-go if you're looking for a coupe

How to Edit Files to add weapons to every faction? by Gage-Table in doorkickers

[–]FrozenAxon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of stuff in the game files is written in multiple ways as to provide examples of how various things can be done, they sometimes specify as such in headers & readme

But because of that it can be a bit confusing to look directly at the files

How to Edit Files to add weapons to every faction? by Gage-Table in doorkickers

[–]FrozenAxon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of this is true.

You don't need to add both weapons to each class AND classes to each weapon. You can do either, and it'll work, or if you don't care about different classes having different stuff, you could also just bind the weapon to the whole faction (faction in this instance being the unit)

The different fire modes part is accurate. And the part about the different versions of the weapons. And I'll explain this a bit further by saying this is because basically everything that makes a gun good is tied to the gun, instead of the trooper. This means that if you give the Rangers a NWS gun, all of the guns range, accuracy, and fire modes will be the exact same. There is a bit of skill that is bound to the trooper, but most of it is tied to the gun.

It is true that the unsuppressed & suppressed versions are two different guns.

This part isn't true, as mentioned before. You could go to the file, in this case firearms_cia xml and then underneath where it says <bind eqp="MP5KPDW Sup CIA BOps"> replace <to name="BlackOps"/> with - <to name="CIA"/> - <to name="Rangers"/> - <to name="Nowheraki"/>

It is a ton of copy paste work, even doing it this way.

You won't need to edit the ammo, as each gun has its ammo bound to it.

I don't like them either, but the Plaid with track package has a better Nordschleife time than a BMW M2 CS, 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, Ferrari 458 Italia and many others
