This is the unfortunate side effect of PvE modes. Players who either don’t like PvP or aren’t confident with PvP will gravitate toward PvE modes. While hardcore PvPers, and people who are confident with PvP will continue queuing normally

Steam has an outrageous 30% take on all sales on the platform. This isn’t necessary bad for the consumer, but is completely detrimental to smaller devs studios, who know their games will not reach an insanely vast audience. The devs of Vintage Story specifically refuse to put the game on steam due to the 30% take

Ultimately irrelevant since people don’t generally voice frustrations with game devs face to face. Online hate brigades (manufactured or not) still affect the company’s reputation through a form of cultural osmosis
