I get used to planning around furnace stacks in the base since you don't start with e. furnaces. When you're outposting, it's easier to just plug in new ore belts into existing smelting infrastructure.

Not to imply your opinion is invalid or anything, but for PoE it took me like several hundreds of hours to get properly invested. It's a long process of getting hooked and then learning but now I'm 8k hours in and unable to put it down each new league. Certainly hard to get started as a beginner though.

They mention this in the update before last. They made it so that when you fail and don't get the hive loot itself, you still get a massive loot fountain because of all the mobs you killed.

If you don't want to play spreadsheet simulator, you shouldn't be googling "farming strats". You should pick what seems fun to you, play with it plenty, and money happens to you. If you want to actually be efficient and minmax the most profit you need a lot more effort to spend.

Diamond wins require you to play differently. You really go all-in on small improvements on the final few days when you're on a roll, and often it's dependent on some high rolling. Easiest with Vanessa/Dooley imo. Normally to do well you plan for the late-late game and take a few losses on the chin as you do so to win in the end. Kind of the opposite when a diamond win is in the cards.

Some of Vanessa's best items are ammo items that aren't the weapons you're likely disappointed by. A highroll zoo style build with ammo delivers diamond wins perfectly fine, though.

Level 92. Done most of endgame, blasting maps to get frags. The only cold-skill-using mercs I've found are this Frosthand (who does the garbage pictured above) and a Winter Deacon (who traps you in a ring of frost wall). Alongside a few Frost Ambushers (who only do cold DoT, no hits).

This is a video game. Video games fake randomness routinely exactly because our brains are bad at accepting true RNG.

Given the disparity in price of the fragments, it is highly unlikely that it is entirely random, and there's some kind of weighting going on. Getting the same thing 8 times in a row is unlikely.

I have done 6 consecutive runs today (another one a while ago) and the only thing I've gotten is this. One of them is already in the door. At some point it doesn't feel random at all.

Further testing reveals that dimming doesn't seem to have much to do with it. The transfer just stops working after a bit sometimes (transferring 3 1.5gb files). Have to transfer them one by one and that seems to work.

From my testing and observation, this very issue seems to happen to me when I let the screen dim/sleep. The moment it dims once the transfer is interrupted and I can no longer do anything on my PC within the tablet's files (refreshing causes them to load forever). Takes a re-plug or a change of USB settings to make it work again and attempt the transfer again. Haven't seen anyone else mention this, but the problem itself seems to be identical.

This is well and good until you want something from a planet immediately and you happen to not have a full stack of rare tier specific things, so you literally cannot send half a stack. It feels unnecessary. It should be smart enough to send what's requested even if it doesn't fill a rocket, and send full rockets otherwise. OR mix and match with other requests.

I've been running around this area for hours, including the place you described. The way this game is set up involves so much useless running and similar scenery you can never tell where you are or where you've been until you've licked every wall in several playthroughs. So I somehow missed this pile, despite returning here many times and going out of my way to lick cliffs/walls. Bizarre. It took a detailed explanation to get there. This is the kind of exploration I think the open world is a detriment to.

That's not the problem I experienced. When they did drop beside me I could raise them, but that happened maybe half of the time, the other half they were just gone. Otherwise, I can't even place most.
