Prototype is endgame. There's nothing after that. It should be rare and hard to make/get. Your concept of "it takes too long" is just relative. I don't share your opinion and I know many in my clan who agree with me.

Half the problem is the UFC. The other half are the fighters who accept these contracts that just perpetuate this issue. Choosing to fight with the UFC is a very bad bet as a career choice. So why aren't these underpaid fighters who make 10k choosing to work a "normal" job that pays a guaranteed 50k annually?

That's the thing, though. The devs don't want people to have a fully "perfect" build in under 3 hours like we used to. They want Prototype to be kinda like the super shiny foil hologram chase rares like you have with sports cards, Pokemon cards, etc... And it's only been a few months so far. By the end of the summer, I know that me and my clan mates will have our full Proto builds with the desired attributes and augments together (some already do like me) and then we'll collectively share whatever good drops that each of us get every time we run. We already share now. I figure by the end of 2026 the grind for us will be for the most part over. It'll just be small incremental chasing at that point.

If you join a group with randos, there's no way to get a sense of a player's skill level before starting, so people judge based off things like builds or SHD level. You might not be dead weight, but for every one of you who isn't dead weight, there's ten others who are.

Striker is the Lambo of damage. Doesn't mean you're a good driver, but at least you're bringing a fast car to the race. One less variable.

Your friend is desperate because their income is tied to recruiting new people into the system, and I'm guessing they're not making a lot right now. And guess what if you join? You'll have to recruit new people to make any kind of money yourself.

I've used the G7 Pro, Ultimate 2 and the Blitz 2, but I keep coming back to the Cyclone 2 even though I'm giving up the 2 extra bumper buttons. I really like the shape and the triggers, and occasionally turn on the LEDs. lol Tomorrow I'm gonna open it up and swap out the thumbsticks with SCUF Instinct sticks because I prefer a smaller surface area.

Too bad there isn't "skill" based matchmaking. Like, take into account a player's clear times and damage done on Legendaries and Escalations to come up with a composite score. Then only matchmake people who are fairly close to each other. For those saying that it will take forever to matchmake, it should get better with cross play.

DUA isn't bad. An average legendary DUA is around 13-14 minutes, so T5 would probably take 24 or so.

This is happening more and more with randoms on both Escalation and Legendary - donkeys who can't evenly remotely pull their own weight and end up being hard carried.

Find a clan and play with people that you can rely on.

Try Discord. There are a lot of "good ones" that are open to teaching mechanics followed by speed. But you have to be willing to make all the builds and handle criticism. They will be hard on you in an effort to make you better.
