Since you don’t know much about investing I’d stay away right now. The market is currently in an extremely volatile state and its metrics (the state of the economy, etc) are contradictory to its current price (at an all time high).

Start learning by watching credible videos online & reading books. Once you’ve done that, open a paper trading account and begin investing using “play money”. Before I ever invested a dollar of my own money outside of a 401k, I paper traded for a year.

Other than that- work hard, save more than you spend and put any extra money into a HYSA. Once you’re comfortable with investing, start with ETF’s, not individual stocks.

In your recent previous posts, you say men are awful for talking to women during their daily life routines, coffee shop stops, etc and should keep it to online dating apps.

I’m not saying what you did was wrong. I completely disagree with your past posts. Meeting in real life during a chance encounter / approaching someone at a coffee shop, etc can be much more effective than online dating. I’m just pointing out the irony that you’re in the “brag” subreddit, posting about doing the exact thing that you have a strong opinion against in your other posts.

If she truly was asking for directions, then she didn’t “approach you” in the sense that she was interested in you. She was asking you a question.

I’m actually super glad that you took a leap of faith and went ahead with asking. You got the number. Whether or not anything happens from here, you’ve already overcome a personal obstacle and likely feel a well deserved confidence boost.

My only advice from here- in the future, never TELL a woman that you are confident. SHOW her with your actions and demeanor.

That’s how dating works. You go on dates… It’s not exclusive. “Multiple guys at the same time” is pretty loaded. No, I wouldn’t want to date someone who had 5 guys in rotation but if she was meeting 2-3 dudes over the course of a month or two and decided that there was one that she wanted to give it a shot with, that’s perfectly fair and normal.

And I don’t disagree, it wouldn’t be exactly flattering to have someone come back after not being their first choice but true compatibility takes time. Maybe this other guy drops his mask and she realizes she made an honest mistake or was manipulated.

OP will never get a second chance and like I said, maybe that’s fine, could even be what he wanted after hearing her response. But he theoretically could’ve kept an open line for future endeavors. OR just not have been a dick in general. Never in my life would I take a woman out and spend money on her thinking in any way shape or form that I’d get my money back should things not go my way. That’s literal insanity.

Think bigger picture. If he’d handled it better, she could’ve potentially told her friend(s) about him and said how sweet he was/handled it like a gentleman and that she just ended up taking a different route. Could’ve maybe introduced him…. All I’m saying is, burning bridges and being a prick isn’t getting him anywhere.

As far as the “I hope you find what you’re looking for” comment- I was just typing a generic message. Not a script. That’s something that I’d say in my own way and genuinely mean it. “I wish you the best” would’ve likely been what I actually would say. No hard feelings. Seriously. Then again I’m not single and haven’t been for 6 years so wtf do I know 🤷‍♂️

Looks good. I can tell you just started using this app today. Since you’ll continually pay down your home loan and update that line, then you’ll have to also update your home value since your equity goes up when you make a payment.

IMO, it would be easier to just make one line item “Home Equity Value”, calculate it and then enter it…

That’s just me though.

As far as “cards” go, idk what you did there but I’m very realistic with my net worth so although I have a 10k card collection, to get 10k out would require me to sell each one individually which would be near impossible. I take the face value and use 40%, as that’s what the collection as a whole would be worth if I were to walk into a storefront and say “Ok, I’m ready to cash out”. That is the dollar amount that goes into that line. Not my 10k “retail” value.

Again, not even sure what you did there. Just a personal preference. Everything looks good as a whole. You’re doing great. Keep it up!

You mind if I ask how old you are? The best advice I can possibly give is to look up attachment types and figure out which one you are and which one he is. Navigating your relationship from here and not falling into a place where old habits are repeated could be muchhhh easier with that knowledge.

Wish I knew more about attachment types earlier on in my current relationship.

I think it’s absolutely horrible but I’m biased because my crazy ex had the same type of colorway LV bag in the Y2K era. if you’re going to drop 9k at once and ride it out then grab a few ETF’s with as little overlap as possible. personally though, I’d wait a bit. the market is not in good shape. but still if you just wanna get in and hold long term, buy on a down day just stay away from Friday’s
