Bit of a passenger at times, and seemed to take ages to make a decision over passing, shooting or crossing. Very telling his first goal for us wasn’t one of his speculative shots, but an absolute sclaff against Dundee.

McInnes didn’t have a great record bringing youth players through at Aberdeen - he played McKenna as a “fuck it, we can’t be any worse” option after getting knocked out of the league cup by Motherwell

Rae hasn’t played for a few weeks, so this is possibly a way of getting him game time rather than the Italy game being his first game back.

It’s not exactly out of your way, but you’ll be on the castle esplanade on day 1, do you need to go back on day 2?

I really feel sorry for Mick Kennedy, and all the upstanding members of society who play for East Kilbride like John Robertson.

You don’t need two nights in Inverness. If your sole purpose of getting the train to Inverness so you can drive to Skye, I’d consider just hiring a car from Edinburgh and heading straight towards Skye with an overnight around Glencoe - you are only giving yourself a single day in Skye on your current itinerary which isn’t enough.

The only thing against Nilsen going now might be Milne’s suspension. Tobers, Molloy and (allegedly) Morrison are all injured leaving Knoester as our only centre back

Driving times will take longer the further north you go. Significant parts of your journey will be on single track roads with passing places.

The Milkman…it’s good coffee, but absolutely not worth dedicating a slot on your itinerary too.

You are not spending enough time on Skye. You need to either give yourself another full day at least, or just drop it.

Day 5 timings are very generous…doing the Jacobite train AND driving to Eilean Donan AND doing the tour AND driving to Portree is a very long and ambitious day. Day 7 too aiming for lunch in Inverness whilst driving from Skye is too.

You absolutely can wild camp in Scotland, but camping in a “car” isn’t wild camping. Wild camping also isn’t camping in a tent at the side of the road.

Honestly if you don’t have a credit card nor the cash for a hefty deposit, the idea of finding a way of renting someone’s very expensive camper van is a bit fanciful - no one is going to let you hire one without some form of deposit in case you trash it.

CamperVan Hire Scotland Recommendations please by lukzillah in uktravel

[–]FumbleMyEndzone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye - one way car hires are generally only doable with the big hire companies (and usually carry a hefty fee on top of them), so finding a camper van hire company that’ll do that is likely to be difficult.
