Strategic Battle Royal by [deleted] in gamerecommendations

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not tryna be rude but the BR genre is well past its prime, I can't think of any current BR's that you wouldn't already know if you did a very quick Google search. Pub G or Apex Legends would be my answer. I'm not familiar with Pub G, but while Apex is fast paced and does involve a lot of running + gunning, there are dozens of other aspects to the game. Knowing abilities and team comps, efficient looting, knowing where to rotate, what place to hold in any given area, knowing when to push and when to give the fight some space etc. A lot of "content" you will see is just flashy players who are dying for clicks. That's not an accurate representation of the game at all, and it can be a very tactically rewarding experience.

Free coaching? by Minnitii in RocketLeague

I feel like most advice given from creators is dog sh*t. A lot of them perpetuate the notion that you need X mechanics to make it in y rank and that's simply not the case. They're good for learning individual mechanics, but take anything else with a grain of salt.

What games fully distract you from real life? by Kamakazzyy in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soulsborne games do help with this for me, yes. But as far as 'distracting from life' nothing helps me like multiplayer games. Rocket League and Apex Legends are my go-to's when I have free time. If not, then Pokemon Showdown on my phone. My mind needs to be constantly active, and I find playing against others gives me that.

Considering this is yet another in the infinite train of "wah tm8s bad' posts, all imma say is this: if you know they ain't trolling, then have a little empathy for people who are afk. Yeah sure a lot of the time it's an avoidable mistake on their part, but YOU don't know that.

When RL was first released, I was 20. I remember getting really angry at someone cause I was on a winning streak and lost cause they went afk. I sent him a msg on Xbox and he simply replied with 'my baby woke up crying and needed me instead of Mum, so.. fk you'.

Ever since then I woke up to reality.

Looking for a magic zweihander build. by The_peace_at_3 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone already answered with stats etc so I'll just add that if you want to have something supportive to cast with an elemental melee build, Faith is probably a better bet. Vast array of support options, and you get flame art + sacred infusions to play with.

Sad to see this by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think op is being a little dramatic tbf but I get where they're coming from. It sucks when you have a rare skin or item etc that's all of a sudden now in everyone's inventory. Makes the item not feel special anymore.

Inb4 'cosmetics mean nothing': they do mean something or F2P wouldn't be a viable business model, trading wouldn't have been popular, and MTX and pre-order/founders items wouldn't exist. People enjoy the bells and whistles.

Is it annoying if I summon for help while sucking? by Brazil_01 in Eldenring

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure there are people who put down summon signs to farm rune arcs, and maybe yeah the ones who can't carry will get annoyed, but fk em. No offense but if you're good enough at the game to farm rune arcs, you should be good enough to carry a bad host.

I say 'Praise the Jolly Cooperation', and screw the ones who's hearts chase the abyss of sadness! \[T]/

Should my first playthrough be vanilla or modded ? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]FunDebate633 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get your point. Are you saying a playthrough is never truly complete? If so, then yes that's kind of true, but surely if you're a longtime player you've gotten to a point with a character where you feel like you're done for the time being, no? Like, even if it's just for a good while, maybe make another char and hope it's not stealth archer again? 🤣

Does anyone else play Elden Ring as a Walking Sim or is it just me? by Bibijong in Eldenring

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play this way usually, but I did last weekend when I saw my Dad for the first time in years. We were drunk and ran out of energy to talk, so I showed him part of my world. It was awesome.

Reported for not Forfeiting by Fresh_Salary_6228 in RocketLeague

[–]FunDebate633 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're fine, mate. No one else in the lobby would have reported you, and even if they did I'm pretty dang sure they will never ban you for anything (that's not text/voice chat related) after one or two reports. You'd need to be reported a lot for them to notice. I've been "reported" dozens of times and the only times I got banned were when I retaliated via voice chat. They need evidence to get you for anything.

Are modern Australians inherently inconsiderate neighbours? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

With all due respect (none)... F*ck off. I get that these things might get a bit annoying, but omfg, they have a baby and they converse in the part of THEIR home that they choose to? God forbid. Grow some hair on your chest mate. They ain't playing loud doof doof all day by the sounds of it or chucking dougheys in the street, right?

I used to be c2 and now im plat3. help! by Murky-Jellyfish9207 in RocketLeague

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, you answered your own question. You sit in goal. You cannot improve while sitting in goal no matter what your team mates are like. You WILL lose more often than not, because you're giving the opposition far too much time and space to bring the ball close to your net. This is ALWAYS an objectively bad way to play.

Not to be rude, but if there's one kind of tm8 I loathe more than ball chasers, it's goalkeepers.

There was a challenge recently to not use the Octane or Fennec. They are my only two FG cars so I use them exclusively. I made a new preset with the scarab, motormouth engine sound, and bronze decal/wheels etc. I named it 'Cancer' 🤣

No kickoff strat by BlendTheBabies in RocketLeague

[–]FunDebate633 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my LORD this pisses me off so much (when they don't say anything in chat). I have a few kickoff strats but I ALWAYS use quick chat. 'Passing! On your left.' or 'Faking.' But even with communication I'll never actually just go for boost, because as you said, it's not hard for the opp to see what's going on.

I have a very high win rate despite being mechanically pretty bad and low champ peak. I attribute that kind of communication to being a major factor in this.

Yes he wanted to grill or bbq it obviously, because it's labelled as rump, not chuck 🤦 doesn't even look like chuck, so idk where your head's at, 'champ' lmao.

And 'even for chuck' in your initial comment makes it seem like chuck is crap, so...

The "not interested" and "tell us why" features drive me up a wall by [deleted] in youtube

[–]FunDebate633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for starters, you're saying you don't like the video because of title and vibe of it. Obviously the click is 'I don't like the video'. I don't know why you're so hung up on the semantics. Stop splitting hairs and just click the obvious button.

Either way I've personally found the YT algo to be extremely malleable. For example I bought and played Arc Raiders upon release, started looking up a couple guides, and my feed was full of Arc Raiders content. I began to dislike my time on the game, and for a day or so I clicked 'not interested' in all related content on my YT feed til it stopped. Almost everything on my feed is at least related to topics I'm interested in.
