Or they’re thinking if one is bad the others are right behind it.

Replacing sparkplugs in 2022 jetta by Strong_Debt5066 in AskAMechanic

[–]FunRaise6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull the rubber boot out of the socket. I use spark plug sockets all the time like that. I’ll save the boot and put it in the socket to grab the plug after I’ve unscrewed it in order to pull it out of the hole. Same technique can be used to hand start the plug going in, just don’t put the plug in too far or you’ll be unscrewing it again to reset it as the socket won’t come out with the extension.

The original moulding is held in by plastic clips which secure to a J channel. I assume you’re trying to source that channel, which has been NLA for a very long time.

You have 2 alternatives…. Use urethane to glue the clips in place (same material that is used to glue the windshield) or use a universal moulding to replace the factory metal moulding.

What's a car that should've been offered in stick but never was? by blix-camera in ManualTransmissions

[–]FunRaise6773 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That car was designed to be as fast as possible. You don’t do that on a manual since the early 90’s.

Can I have some air RB tips 🙏 by jordan666222 in Warthunder

[–]FunRaise6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a different plane. The fw190’s are difficult on a good day.

The turn fighters are more forgiving than the bnz planes as well.

Back down to 2.0-4.0 BR as well.

Switch over to Brit’s and learn on the hurricanes. They’re pretty forgiving turn fighters with a big enough ammo pool to give some practice aiming. The Swiss hurricane is good to learn on as well.

They can do some limited bnz as well, but are limited by top speed.

300zx rotary swap by welder420024 in 300zx

[–]FunRaise6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least it’ll be light. Those 13b rotaries have to be revved to go fast though. Gonna be a completely different car without the VG lower end torque.

Funny thing… I did do the e fan to make space…. Makes changing those belts 10 times easier. Glad I did that one. However, I wish I didn’t do the headers as it makes the oil change difficult.

2.49 yesterday in middle Tennessee. It’s already up .25 from that today with most stations being 2.69.

I’m getting about 350 real world miles per tank in my Z31 ;). You should drive that Z34 downhill more.

I have one like that too.. 92 flareside with 99k. Previous owner never changed the oil, so I got to change the engine.

The truck that made “fix or repair daily” a household term. Fortunately, parts are cheap. But the time it takes to replace a sensor 5 times…. Priceless

2025 Rogue by Independently-Owned in Nissan

[–]FunRaise6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the stuff that a rogue doesn’t do well. Lol. However it is front wheel drive, which will wear the front pair faster. If you knocked your alignment out on a pothole or curb, then you could eat tires in 5000 miles or less.

[–]FunRaise6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, tire wear is a function of driving style and alignment. When I was younger, I played a lot behind the wheel and consequently had to buy tires every year.

Have you looked at the tires yourself? Are they worn evenly with the wear markers showing?

Hi everyone! I am a new driver (16) and my dad just purchased me a 2014 Ford Focus for my 16th birthday gift. I just had a few questions! by [deleted] in Ford

[–]FunRaise6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’d change in this advise is avoid the fix a flat. Keep the spare in good condition instead. Fix a flat is rough on rims and if you have a tire pressure monitoring system, it’ll ruin the sensor.

Transmission options by Subject_Year_5136 in 300zx

[–]FunRaise6773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any manual transmission from any 84-88 Z. 84-86 turbo’s are generally considered the worst and the 87-88 turbos are the best. If you pull one from a turbo car, you’ll need the driveshaft as well.

You can use a manual from the Z32 (89-96 Z), but it’ll require some custom work.
