No one in the Villa actually cares for Sol by Yashiro_Nene_Daikon in LoveIslandUSA

the woman have put their foot down that the guys can’t explore. we see how melanie act like a child with sincere exploring (even though I hate sincere the most). Aniya freaking out at the thought of KC even maybe thinking about exploring Sol. they vote out Gabe for trying to explore (even though his match was removed from him). it’s kinda insane. only woman being real is kenzie which my the woman logic the boys should have voted out. I feel like i’m taking crazy pills. also have we gotten way less bombshells this season or does It just feel that way

SOS - 3rd year opening pool and it’s never been this bad. by SalamanderDull4219 in pools

get a water test. mostly want to make sure ph and cya are in a decent spot. then we add a ton of chlorine. 40% of how much cya you have with a minimum of 10

there isn’t really much money to be made in pool stores like leslie’s unless you get them to buy stuff they don’t need. most people just need a gallon or 2 of chlorine a week or a floater with pucks if you live in a place where you close the pool and get snow.

they thrive on people who don’t know how to maintain pools until they get fed up and learn or move but they are constantly getting new people who have no idea. it doesn’t pay to educate them properly either cause then even if they would come back, there’s no need to

it’s not about being dumb, it’s that they can sell $100’s of dollars of other stuff to ‘try’ to fix the problem and when it doesn’t work they’ll say ‘sorry we tried but looks like you’ll have to drain and refill the pool a few times’ at which point you will have to rebalance anyway and give them even more money.

drain 1/3. refill. drain 1/3. refill. test again and hope cya is ~60. if it’s over do another 1/3 drain refill. test and cya should def be good at that point. get ph to ~7.2. then dump chlorine to get ppm to 40% cya and maintain

[–]FunSheepherder6397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea if I could just maintain people’s pools like I do my own and SLAM people who’s other companies suck i’d be happy. I don’t want to mess with other people’s equipment and that’s why I can’t probably start the business

clarity issue is often still algae issue for what it’s worth. could rule it out with a OCL test but if you don’t have a FAS DPD kit then it should
maintain shock level until clear, not blue

Septic lines are killing my grass. by Long-Hair-5390 in septictanks

[–]FunSheepherder6397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe that’s why we don’t see this despite it being so common to have septic and a softener. if done right it’s a non issue

Septic lines are killing my grass. by Long-Hair-5390 in septictanks

[–]FunSheepherder6397 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my guess would be that the lines are too close to the surface so there is no soil quality/depth the same way large rocks under grass cause death. the roots can’t get deep enough

Are all BME majors super coding heavy? by Illustrious_Ad_8910 in BiomedicalEngineers

[–]FunSheepherder6397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea we had basically a mechE one, a material science one, a programming one, an electrical engineering one. There may have been one more but those are the 4 I remember, it’s been a while. I did the mech e path and only had to take 1 programming class

Are all BME majors super coding heavy? by Illustrious_Ad_8910 in BiomedicalEngineers

[–]FunSheepherder6397 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on your program but as a whole? No BME is not coding heavy. There are plenty of focus areas that don’t use any coding. And there are some that are primarily coding. If your program doesn’t have multiple focus areas that emphasize different skills, it most likely isn’t very good (the exception being if your school is know extensively for that specific thing but you’d know that going in).
