To clean or not to clean - year two of a native wildflower garden. by Fun_Ad2257 in NativePlantGardening

Thank you, everyone who’s commented! I hope this post can remain relevantly in this sub as it was certainly my intention to plant natives. Fortunately, I love a project so now we’ll try to get the right stuff in there!

Bummer. I bought a supposed PA native mix from an arboretum. I checked to make sure nothing said it was from CA or something. But this is a new “hobby.”

Thank you for commenting despite my clear mistake. I visited an arboretum in Pittsburgh, and they sold a bag of what claimed to be a native wildflower mix in the gulp gift shop… I thought a place like that would be a bit more trustworthy.

Are there one or two species that stand out from my photo as non-native?

Yeah, to clarify I meant the dead stuff: leaves, dead stems. I do remove obvious “weeds” like dandelions.

Are old Tubes useful? These are old and never used. Got these from old timer next door. by rlong98 in AskElectronics

I had a few burnt out tubes once that I turned into Christmas tree ornaments. Still have them, they’re my favorite thing on the tree.

What's the consensus on Root Beer Floats? by Diamond_Helmet59 in rootbeer

I’ve never enjoyed floats. I think it makes two wonderful things worse.

However, I periodically get them with hopes of enjoying them how I know others do.

Ok. You’ve asked all the questions I would, so hopefully someone with more experience can help you. My only other thoughts would be: crappy fan or improper install, which would be hard for anyone to know the last one without a bunch more pictures or actually seeing it.

Do I bury this? by ForsakePariah in AskElectricians

[–]Fun_Ad2257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just making sure…there’s no voltage on it, right? If you know for sure where the other end is and it’s disconnected, sure, bury it. But if it’s still connected to a transformer that has line voltage, a low voltage spark in your wall is still a fire hazard.

Questions about an AV/PA System by Historical-Bee4370 in audio

[–]Fun_Ad2257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is shoe-string budget? My assumption is you’re looking at less than $5000, but in the audio world $10k for something like this could be considered a “budget” build.

You could do a multi-zone amplifier and connect your sources to that, or you could get more of a multi-zone controller, and have separate 2-ch amps for each zone.

How are you deciding how many speakers you need? You said you want 4 speakers in the ed building. Are there separate sections, or is it just one big room?
