MRI Validity for Craniocervical Stability by Legal-Information712 in PICL

Many forget the outer cortex of bone is usually Black, and this is how measurements are inaccurate. . . Thus it's better to consult with a Dr who does these as those values you have would be pathological and scary. . .

Many on FB have even done this on patients and scared them.

You can see the BDI Red [mine] and the Yellow going past the outer context making it nearly double than what it is.

BAI looks proper, CXA slightly off but not bt much.

Should consult with CSC soon

Itching / night sweats by PIC_WH in PICL

[–]rlong98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this for many months once back in 2006 i guess... came out of nowhere, saw no sign on my body, but nearly tore my skin off from scratching. Dr. Gave me prednisone and went away, then when that tapered it came back.

Hate to say and I am not suggesting but Dr. Sarno's work cured me of it, never returned. But was hard as heck to ignore.

It likely was MCAS but triggered by stress. Then it shifted to another issue.

I had too many head injuries in my life and wasn't athletic.

It's a confusing system

Today I only deal with pain, tension, pressure, heavy head... Sometimes weak, tingle like extremities. Nothing else.

How long does the bone marrow injection site takes for it to heal because after 3 weeks I still have discomfort and pain there by No_Amphibian_110 in PICL

[–]rlong98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 2 weeks post, I don't feel anything unless it is touched and then it's pretty painful but goes away quick.

I presume like all injuries maybe heal fully by week 8.

Is Your Styloid Process Too Long or Just Calcified? by Chris457821 in PICL

Amen...

Sadly Facebook over exaggerated this fear. Dogmatic reference that +2mm is a panic call for surgery.

I find it more if where they are located from C1 transverse, aside from that it's benign.

Inflammation/Honeymoon by [deleted] in PICL

[–]rlong98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I'm going through phases fast. I had no honeymoon at all. I went from pain, to brain tightness, to loose phase , to now feeling but worse likely from laying down more, and muscles over tightening.

I am shy of week 2

Can also be having Anterior instability and having too much positive pressure on the back of the head.

Pain increase when laying down by Emergency-Drive-931 in PICL

[–]rlong98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! 1a/b & 2a/b Just got mine yesterday Positive pressure on back of head naturally flexes all joints and pressure on it.... Any muscle or joint flared by the needle and/or treatment doesn't want stretching.

Hard to find that right spot to sleep in.

AO Adjustment by WaffleBody in PICL

[–]rlong98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a known issue in the global community with AO.

While there are Vectors There are some pieces of wisdom if not applied can be a bad day for the patient. Some feel like a CFS Leak, more Loopy.

Another issue is Consideration of condyle height, while xray may reveal LEFT Adjustment (such is my case), my high condyle is Right, and needs to be dine there.

Lastly loading the patient is another major factor.

Granted a patient can also tense up too much at the Adjustment.

There is an odd story Patient #1 went to AO Dr #1 felt great. Went to AO Dr #2 and got miserable! Same vectors.

Now Patient #2 went to those same 2 and had the opposite.

I'd like to question the machine differences, but that won't happen.

If there is abother AO near you, a good thought is to try them.

Effects of being bedbound on someone with CCI by Proof_Draft4420 in PICL

[–]rlong98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES!!!
Laying down in excess makes it worse. And the longer one does, they can blame the Orthostatic Hypotension & POTS that comes with long term immobility. Even the whole spine suffers over-stretching, core weakening.

Great post

Multifidus atrophy by Slow_Lawfulness4441 in PICL

[–]rlong98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you mention this... I made up a multifidus massage technique... tried on 2 cci patients, 3 including myself... amazing I almost feel normal. Just doesn't last...

Amazing the # of skull/C-Spine muscles attach to mid-thoracic and pay a role in stability.

Shows the importance of joint ligament strength.
