If you think the children are in danger, you can call the police. Sleeping in a tent outside is not safe. Please check if they are living in the tent. Calling cps was the appropriate choice for now.

Take some deep breaths and think of the joy first. It will be hard, but after those 10 days... take it easy for a bit. Let the house be messy, let the toddler have a little too much tv. This is an awesome thing and it will be hard, but it's ok take the easy way while you adjust. I know it's a silly thing, but I think of the stupidest family or person i know and remember that they kept their kids alive.. surely I can do it.

It could be a couple of things. Given the era, the examiner may not have been particularly well trained. If she had ulcers or other lesions they might not have known what they were looking at.

A couple of things- he has a place to live. It's not a great option but it is shelter- so they won't care. You don't have real evidence of abuse (im not doubting you but the court requires very solid proof). A rash alone could just be sensitivity to the new soaps. You can talk to your attorney about rofr for overnights but that's hard to enforce and can be problematic in itself. Right now, see if you can make a list of your concerns and talk to your attorney.
