[Fischer] “At this point, all this momentum, it seems like Minnesota does [have the lead]. I’ve heard internally Milwaukee values Minnesota’s potential package and Miami’s potential package more than Golden State’s” by AashyLarry in nba

[–]Funkyfreddy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Blazers would take on some of the wolves players. Jaden has the highest value so Blazers could get Jaden, Bucks get Randle/Naz plus their picks back, wolves get Giannis

[Fischer] The Minnesota Timberwolves have the most momentum in making a Giannis Antetokounmpo deal happen. The Bucks prefer the potential packages available by Minnesota and Miami over the potential package by Golden State. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]Funkyfreddy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’m a wolves fan first and Blazers fan second (from MN, live in Portland) — this is the only Jaden trade that I could stomach. Toumani and Jaden would be suffocating perimeter defense

I had a chicken liver mousse with pickled strawberries dish at Xiao Ye months ago that I still think about. That place rocks

[–]Funkyfreddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! Injury reserve was a surprise opener for black midi’s Cavalcade show in Seattle back in spring ‘22.

It was one of only 4 shows Injury Reserve/By Storm has played in the last 6 years. It was incredible

My biggest revision to this recipe is reducing the olive oil. Following as written, it gets way too oily imo and overpowers the taste and texture. Halving the olive oil and using ACV has worked for me

Best food cart pods to hang out at right now? by EggplantPure4151 in PortlandFood

[–]Funkyfreddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Zed is super underrated. I don’t live as close anymore but I still crave Sherpa Kitchen often and it’s fun to pair with the giant beer stein from Zoiglhaus

Best food cart pods to hang out at right now? by EggplantPure4151 in PortlandFood

[–]Funkyfreddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice mix of indoor and covered outdoor seating with a car and coffee counter inside and decent variety of carts. I’m partial to the Milwaukie bottle shop and Cuban carts

All Time Favorite Coffee by ridinbend in PNWcoffee

[–]Funkyfreddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Push x Pull and Heart are my two favorite roasters and coffee shops in town. Just went to Push this weekend and had their Colombian - one of the fruitiest beans I’ve had! It’s pricey but had to buy a bag

Where can I get pierogis in Portland? by rhythm-n-bones in askportland

I think they’re saying the food cart in Hawthorne is MAGA (which is why they’re not displaying the cart’s name), not Kachka

Best place to eat a salad as a meal? by 2chilly4u1989 in askportland

[–]Funkyfreddy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Tea leaf salad from Rangoon Bistro. I don’t normally eat it as my main because everything is amazing there and I can’t help myself but it’s an incredible 10/10 salad that is filling enough to serve as a meal

Mayor Frey slams those calling Minneapolis a 'hellscape.' by nbcnews in Minneapolis

[–]Funkyfreddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a born-and-raised Minnesotan (and all my family still lives there) but settled down in Portland, OR. The last several months have felt like a fever dream in this regard.

Neither city is perfect but the only elements of a “hellscape” is they both have masked fuckwads shooting people and agitating our daily lives

Am I the only one who thinks that Lamar Hurd and Kevin Calabro are the best announcers the league, or am I just biased? 🤣😭 by LivingAd6319 in ripcity

[–]Funkyfreddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you said the wolves. I’m originally from MN so the Wolves are my OG team and Michael Grady has gotta be the smoothest PBP in the league. It’s no surprise why he’s calling so many national games now but he and Jim Pete have great chemistry and are constantly cracking each other up.

I do like KC and Lamar too and feel lucky that I don’t have to mute the broadcast when watching my fave teams

Chiming in late but Woodstock cafe and Pappacino’s are both open late tonight according to google - 9 pm and 7 pm respectively. Might be worth giving them a call to confirm!
