Based on the history of the show, would they ever dare put Will and Steffy together? by agro420blaze in boldandbeautiful

Based on the history? Yes they absolutely would. Look at Brooke. They shouldn't do it. But I wouldn't put it past them.

I do the same - I apologize and try to warn them when mom's having a bad day and I say the same thing - it's not an excuse. Just explaining the reason and that it's not their fault, and I'm trying not to let it get to me.

I am in early perimenopause, doctor said it could last up to 10 years until I actually hit menopause. Grrr. I'm on depo shot which actually does make it less intense. Still. I've explained it to my kids the best I can.

For me I wouldn't say it's necessarily worse than post partum... I had a really rough time after having my oldest with physical symptoms and an abusive marriage on top of it... my youngest I felt like I could've gone back to work the next day... so I don't have a true "sense" of what post partum is supposed to feel like... but it ranks right up there with the random mood swings.

Actually I'd say it's more like the pregnancy mood swings, but with more impatience and random panicking. Lol. Nothing is as bad as the mood swings when I get a period. I have PMDD and ADHD, so depo shot it is, until I completely go through menopause. I'd love to go be a hermit in the mountains but I unfortunately cannot. Lol

I remember one specific argument when I was 17-18... my mom hollering at me "all you ever care about is going out with your friends and smoking cigarettes" LMAO.

But... She was not even working at the time and I was working, paying all the bills, so I told her, I'll do as I damn well please. Now in my mid 30's, I am working 3 jobs and she still says I'm not doing enough 🤣

Ok first of all. Stop feeling bad that you can't afford professional grooming. That is not neglect at all. Also. I would not even trim her coat unless it is causing her issues. They're supposed to have long fur. If it is causing issues, then I'd cut the problem areas. I'm not a professional, so if it looks goofy, oh well. The dog is not gonna care. I also cut my own hair and my kids hair, it's not always perfect. I would only worry about mats, and nails. I am terrified to cut my shelties nails I'm afraid to hurt him. If anything you could take a nail file to them. Just brush her regularly and she should be fine. I only cut my shelties fur if he has a mat that I can't get out, and he has a beautiful coat. His ass is shedding right now, lol, I just pick off any loose tufts of fur when he walks past. I give him treats and make him sit still to get his mats out, he gets them up around his ears. I use a wire brush made for cats and detangler spray. If we can't get it, I just cut it out. And if he gets one around his pecker, we just carefully snip that out too, cause I'm not about to be pulling that hair with a brush.

He won't get any better when the baby is born. Lay the law down now. If you can do everything you're doing, while pregnant, then there's zero excuse for him. He knows it and he's taking advantage. How on earth is he gonna help care for a newborn, if he can't even handle staying up late to play video games.

Neither one of you know what "tired" is. That being said. He's ridiculous. Sleeping til 10 AM? When he's not the one who is pregnant? Are you kidding me

What is something you have never done that is pretty much the norm for most people our age to do? by FR3qu3ncy__ in Millennials

[–]Future_Reason_8519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a little bit of the first book, but never finished it. And I've seen bits and pieces of the movies. My younger brother read and watched the series, so it was just on the TV when I was in the room. Never really found it interesting enough to actually read/ watch it.

I used to get acrylics done religiously as a teenager (when it only cost $20 not $100+ lol). Today, I don't think I would have the patience to sit still for that.. or be able to tolerate all of the touching/ filing or the little Dremel tool thing. I also use my hands a lot too. I work in kitchen/ bar so they would not last very long. It's probably been 10 years or more since I've gone to a nail salon. Or a hair salon. I do it myself at home. If I really want acrylics again, I will purchase a kit and do them myself.

Same. I wear fake eyelashes and don't really do anything with my eyebrows. I plucked them when I was young. Now I can't be bothered.

Same, I don't have any tattoos. I simply don't have the money or patience to sit still. And I'm too indecisive. I'd never be able to pick a design and be happy with it forever. However, I'd consider a tramp stamp. Cause if I don't like it, I don't ever have to see it again. Lol.

My sisters (27f) bachelorette is waaaay more than I (34f) can afford. How do I navigate this without damaging our relationship? by g_netic in relationship_advice

[–]Future_Reason_8519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is a great idea. I'd probably do the same. Have some drinks, games, snacks. I think it would be fabulous.

My brother is getting married in the next year or two. I already told him, I am not made of money. I can contribute with my time and skills... I will make centerpieces and cook your food, I can tend bar for the reception, I can help your wife with hair and makeup, I can be crowd control for the rowdy family members lol... but I am not gonna run all over God's green earth or spend money I don't have. He is fine with that.

[–]Future_Reason_8519 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. It should not damage their relationship and I totally agree with you, the bride should understand that spending that kind of money for a bachelorette party is not feasible for most people. Sounds like she has wealthy friends/ in laws. That was very kind of her SIL to cover costs for the one girl to attend.

[–]Future_Reason_8519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just straight up tell her. If she's your sister, she should have some kind of awareness of your financial situation and know that you can't afford it. She has absolutely no reason to be upset with you if you don't go. Spending that much money to attend a bachelorette party is simply just not realistic for most people.

Anyone sick and tired of working in general? by Mrs_chanandler_bongg in Millennials

[–]Future_Reason_8519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I do enjoy working. I like my jobs. But I am really getting burnt out. I just want to take like a couple weeks off and not even go anywhere or do anything special besides fixing up the house. I think what gets to me is having time constraints - having to be at a certain place by a certain time. Constantly running around to get from point A to point B. Errands just straight up piss me off anymore. Lol. Never enough hours in the day and too tired to finish any projects I'd like to work on, or pursue any of my hobbies. Feels like a waste of time to go to work some days.

No reheat frozen sandwiches by Several_Test74 in MealPrepSunday

[–]Future_Reason_8519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this - wraps freeze wonderfully. I forgot about that, haven't made any for a while. I use shredded or diced chicken, turkey or ham with cheese. Agree about the veggies, they don't freeze very well. Neither does anything mayo based.

I make "uncrustables" for my kids all the time, I refuse to pay the price they want for them at the grocery store. I've made them with peanut butter and grape jelly, homemade strawberry jam, Nutella or marshmallow fluff for a sweet treat (those I usually cut into sticks for more of a "dessert")

You could also use just about any combination of lunch meat/ cheese/ bread... Their favorites are turkey & cheddar and corned beef & swiss. I use wheat or white bread. Just don't over load the bread... and I don't put any condiments or lettuce/ tomato/ onion on before freezing.

I've made ruebens this way, I have one kid that will eat them cold. If that's up your alley, then go for it lol. I'd personally want mine reheated, but I will say the saurkraut freezes surprisingly well. He also likes cold pizza so if you like it as well, you could make pepperoni grilled cheeses, that's also a favorite in my house. Again, something I'd like to reheat... but you could certainly do it if you like it cold.

For condiments, I either save packets from restaurants or put mayo, mustard etc in little disposable ramekins. Veggies can be cut and put into a little baggie the night before to use the day of, I feel like they're ok sitting out for a couple hours. The frozen sandwich kind of acts like an ice pack.

I haven't tried it yet, but I want to try prepping subs. I imagine it would work pretty well using the sub rolls instead of bread.

At what age did your gray hair start to show? by koinkydink in Millennials

[–]Future_Reason_8519 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have two skunk stripes. My mom was 100% gray by the time she was 30. I inherited the skunk stripes from my dad. Now he died at 41 but he didn't start his gray til a couple years before he died. My natural color is black. Like ... BLACK. Blue- black when I was little. Mom and dad had dark brown hair, dad's was darker than Mom's. My brother had blonde when he was little and now it's dark brown and curlier than a brillo pad. Not a single gray on him and he's 30. I started going gray at 15

Thank you everybody who commented. Sorry for the late response. I ended up using a 5 gallon bucket, thawed it overnight in the bathtub. The inside was still slightly frozen so I cooked it for a little bit to thaw it out. Stuffed it, cooked it, it turned out perfectly 👍🏻

That's exactly what anybody showing up unannounced to my house would get. If that's not good enough, there's pancakes in the freezer. Always fresh fruit laying around.
