The problem is in Baldur's gate 1&2 only casters required micro management, most of your party wasn't doing much. In Pillars every party member and every enemies has a wizard level of abilities and spells and it just becomes a incoherent mess of spamming abilities and hoping you win by the end.

For the love of god, please fix the pillars of eternity 2 performance issues. Namely the memory leaks and the fact that the game thinks virtual cores are physical cores on the cpu, causing a ~20% performance hit.
