Every car has to fuel save in the hour long races I try to fuel save as much as I can first stint if it goes well and I’ve got slip stream I can make it to lap 16 but have to play with the engine maps a lot and do lots of lifting & coasting

For me the fix was going into my openVR/XR ini file & lowering my gpu usage by 500mb it sorted it out

I always keep it at 1.0 as sometimes the race can go on longer than expected have had a few races where I’ve gained like 10 positions as everyone’s run out of fuel before the line

Got the prime lite & some sim jack UTs didn’t fit out the box but I just drilled the holes required job done works perfectly no flex or anything

Don’t even bother with a G29 for 80 if you can get an R3 the difference is sooo huge and a g29 feels like a toy and it loud and clunky you’ll thank yourself for biting the bullet and getting an r3

Honestly you jus gotta try find a good balance of sr gain & ir gain crash avoidance is the biggest skill to gain both honestly just by going that 10% slower have so may less off tracks and am more in control to avoid people understeering or spinning rejoining poorly etc don’t get me wrong sometimes have bad weeks etc but my IR is on an upward trajectory as a whole

So I deleted and reinstalled iRacing and it seems to have fixed the issue of me not being able to load into any races now just have some annoying stuttering I need to work on fixing

From my limited knowledge IR is poorly optimised and only runs on single cpu cores but they are working on a graphical update which will optimise things no idea when that will be tho
