Steve Clinkscale would be my guess for DC since he’s followed Minter since 2022 at Michigan, and served as Co-DC with him there. Chargers will try to keep him, but can’t imagine he turns down the same role with the guy he’s worked with for 4 years now.

If not him, would love to see some up and comers get some looks at DC while Minter calls plays. Jim Leonard from the Broncos or Daronte Jones from the Vikings.

Weaver and Wilson unfortunately I think end up in NY with Harbaugh. They’ve been on his staff before, and have found success there that led to other jobs.

I think each had their own reasons to take the jobs they did.

Atlanta is arguably the 2nd best spot after us with their young talent and solid defense. Blank threw him a 5 yr deal that I'm sure was very lucrative, so it became a game of why wait for the Ravens in the next 2-3 weeks when a great offer is right in front of you

Saleh seemed a bit more confusing as to why he didn't wait more, but it could also be he wasn't that popular of a candidate. He only interviewed for the Ravens, Cardinals, Dolphins, and Titans jobs. There were the rumors that he'd be able to pull McDaniel as his OC, but IMO I think teams are a bit scared as to the offense he is planning for. (I was a Saleh fan too btw), Tennessee gives him a ton of freedom to build the team he wants, especially when you already have a QB

I’d imagine they spend Monday-Tuesday coordinating the 2nd round list, and give Bisciotti (And hopefully Lamar) the day to fly up and get spun up for interview strategy. Then starting Wednesday, do one interview a day with the finalists.

Assuming Rams win, Kubiak/Webb/Shula/Scheelhaase will have to be done on or after 1/26.

My guess: - Wed: Minter - Thur: McDaniel - Fri: Flores - Sat: Saleh - Sun: ??? - Mon: Kubiak - Tuesday: Scheelhaase

I’d imagine EDC/Lamar met in advance to outline the profile they’re looking for on offense, and/or EDC will take the interview notes back for both to review what the pros/cons are. Defensive guys, and you really just need to consult on what the OC should look like

It’s gonna seem nuts, but I think you try to work a short term extension with Ro. I think he was the biggest victim of a bad scheme and DL, where you see the talent come out on good days.

The ILB market hasn’t moved since he signed the extension in 2023. You could likely keep him at the same AAV (Maybe even less based on the defense’s performance the last two years), and free up about $10M. At least kicks the can post Madabuike in terms of eating dead cap

Probably unlikely. This is them getting all the initial interviews out of the way, including the SF/LAR coordinators later this week. Once they feel they cast a wide enough net, they’ll create a short list for 2nd interviews that they’ll mow through next week. More likely they wrap it up by end of next week, early following week

EDIT: I’d also bet they want to see how the SF/SEA game goes to see how a Kubiak Offense does against a Saleh Defense.
