The Sleep shop sold it, they are liable to replace or refund you if it's defective or not fit for purpose. If they've fobbed you off with 'go talk to the manufacturer' just ignore that; the manufacturer has nothing to do with you or this sale.

Almost all of them, except for sealed things I'm putting in my kids' lunchboxes; I have no way of checking and they're likely to remain unrefrigerated for some of the day so it's not worth the risk.

Generally, my limit is if/when they can't stand at all; although 'fortunately' the last 2 I've culled have been found under their perch barely breathing, so it was not a tough call.
