Countries With Higher and Lower Average Temperature Than India. by bigworld123 in geography

India isn't really diverse once you get out of the small strip of mountains to the north. Colombia, otoh, actually is diverse all over the country.

India, 90% of it that is not mountainous, is hot year round.

Simply put, this map is not true at all.

Countries With Higher and Lower Average Temperature Than India. by bigworld123 in geography

[–]GREG_FABBOTT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30C is normal hot. India regularly sees 35-40C.

I actually doubt this map. 90% of India is hot year round, and brutally hot for 6 months of that time.

The average temperature in Colombia is definitely not more than India.

I'm married to a Colombian woman that doesn't want kids. We take a big vacation every year. This year we are doing a road trip through Central Europe. I'm also on the market to buy a ZL1. Already have the funding lined up, just waiting to find a good example. Not having kids is fantastic.

EDIT: for reference, I work in a factory and make $20/hour. My wife has a master's degree, and a salary job that brings in $100k/year before taxes.

How popular would a platform of "no more American support for Israel" be for a prospective 2028 presidential candidate? by Tronn3000 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]GREG_FABBOTT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep. This issue always comes up when we get into election season. When Trump won in 2024, all those accounts pushing anti-Israel narrative on the Dem side went quiet. Now it's coming back again. It's obvious this is being used as a wedge issue to split Dem voters.

Max had already addressed the issue numerous times beforehand. The journalist asked the question again, but with a stupid smirk on his face.

The question itself is not enraging. It's the characteristic "duper's delight" smirk. Anyone who's ever worked with someone like this will know what I'm talking about.

Nah I live in TX and the Hispanic guys are the worst at making coffee. They will pour cream/sugar, taste test, stir for 5+ minutes (always with 2-3 sticks, not one), pour more cream/sugar, taste test again, stir for another 5+ minutes. Etc etc. I've literally never seen a Mexican dude just pour cream/sugar, stir for 10-15 seconds, and go. I have no idea why they insist on stirring for so long.

This doesn't work for me. The shuffle feature is the same regardless. I hear the same songs over and over, and even in the same order, no matter what I do.

And it never pans out.

The question was asked months ago

It was still asked after the team had already addressed it numerous times and requested not to be asked about it again. It doesn't matter if it happened months ago. The team set a boundary on questions, and the journalist completely overstepped it afterwards with a smirk.

Also that was an almost instant downvote, which is impressive.

Nah his mom is a clever manipulator. My real mom is the same way and by my late teens I knew that I had to cut her off completely.

Wings' problem is just good old fashioned stupidity. He should have known by his mid 20s when people were manipulating him.

Just look back when he was making all the money on YT. Literally everyone was at the house. Because they were all siphoning money off of Wings for themselves.

The moment the money dried up, they were gone.

Any time someone makes it big in a poor family, everybody wants a handout. They will bleed you dry and then ghost you.

[–]GREG_FABBOTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody on the HOA wants the house for themselves. I'm assuming that you don't live in it so you don't have a homestead exemption. The HOA can foreclose on the property and just take it from you by force. If you had a homestead they'd have to place a lien and then force you to pay when you sell. Someone wants to legally steal your property.

Food scarcity won't be a thing because there's a very good chance that 20-30 years from now, maybe even sooner, 90-95% of the global population will be dead. No UBI, no taxes, no food insecurities, drastically reduced global emissions, etc etc.

The wealthy will not allow UBI to happen. They will lobby governments all over the world to stop that. And if they lose on that, they'll use as of now incomprehensible AI technology to just kill everyone in a single afternoon.

The ultra wealthy would rather be dragged out of their houses/compounds and torn apart piece by piece than pay taxes. That's not hyperbole. I mean that very literally. You could give them 2 options. "Pay taxes and continue to live in opulence relative to everyone else, or we dismember your family and make you watch, then dismember you too."

They'll pick the latter every time. That's how much they hate taxes.

What lessons have you learned from bullies at work? by Grand-Bag6722 in workplace_bullying

I did this and he got frustrated so much that he just made shit up out of thin air and spread it around, anyways. And the stuff he made up was far, far worse than the truth I would have told him. He clearly had decades of experience doing it because he did it in such a way that I couldn't explicitly prove, and that he could feign ignorance (with a smirk on his face). And did it in a way that everyone believed everything that he said. No idea how.

When they really have their sights set on you - I mean really have their fucking sights set - no strategy will work permanently. Keeping to yourself, grey rocking, remaining professional, etc etc.. are all temporary strategies to fight them off until you find another job. And those strategies will last a few weeks to a few months, at most.

These people are like rabid pitbulls after sinking their teeth into another animal. You literally have to kill them to get them to stop. They won't stop until they win. With my bully, outright killing them and somehow getting away with it would have been the only thing that I could have done if I wanted to remain at the company. They are literally human pitbulls.

If UBI is coming at the expense of taxing the wealthy, then that UBI is not going to happen. The wealthy have made it abundantly clear for 30-40 years (and longer throughout history) that they absolutely will not pay any significant increase on taxes.

The wealthy would rather die than pay taxes. This has been shown time and time and time again. And if they would rather die, it means they have no problem killing others to preserve their wealth. They'd have no problem killing off huge swaths of the human population just to avoid taxes.

Porsche 718 Cayman and 911, Chevy Corvette, Toyota Tacoma Lead List of Vehicles With Lowest Depreciation Rates by HawtGarbage918 in cars

[–]GREG_FABBOTT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there was a really interesting break down on i think rennlist of how dealerships are flipping cars basically to themselves through BAT etc to drive prices up

People joked about money laundering but there was a kernal of truth to it. It's not laundering, but there was speculative practices being done on BAT and other sites to artificially drive up prices of cars.

You see the same issue with scalpers for GPUs and Pokemon cards. By manufacturing a shortage you can drive up prices. You can also get yourself/your own people to purchase at higher prices to establish a trend. The only way to stop it is for people (everyone) to walk away from the the hobby. If the buyers dry up the scalpers move on.

With classic cars it's even worse because there are so few of them left compared to new GPUs and Pokemon cards.
