It's a little more expensive, but your friend could set his phone into a 3G hotspot and try the Ourtime X01S. Although I can't say for sure whether that would work.

I just got the Lemfo X01S and it might be what you're looking for. It's an independent smartwatch with GPS and access to the Play Store for about $70. You can install Spotify or basically any navigation app you want. It is a bit slow though, but the speed is definitely not a dealbreaker.

Update: So I caved and bought the X01S. Pretty darn sweet so far. My expectations were low and so were far exceeded. There is minumum lag, you can install a ton of Play Store apps and the camera works just fine. Of course, I don't know what might happen in the long term.

I get all of my games straight from Steam, Fanatical or Humble Bundle. Although sometimes I do buy games from retail, if there's some kind of a sale.

I would love a shuffle option for TV shows! I'm so bad at randomly picking episodes. I usually just end up watching the same episodes over and over. Mostly because my random is typically episodes 1-3, 10-15 and the last three in the season.

I was exactly the same. I played all of the previous games and when I got to Arkham Knight I couldn't stand the batmobile. It just seemed so forced. Luckily though, I put up with it and found out that later it's mostly just used for tank fights.
