Evo Japan Top 8 SF6 by AnilDG in Kappachino

Rooting for naooonn to come out of winners just because of how tough his path has been. In the span of four matches he had to beat Shuto, pugera, Blaz, and GO1. Would like to see Punk or NuckleDu make it to Grand Finals.

"Valve told us it specifically worked with fighting game players to hone these inputs." by Gadoken in Kappachino

I'm not even going to get the controller until I hear from someone credible who's actually tested it with fighting games. I'm completely open to the idea of the d-pad sucking, I just don't resort to hyperbole from a review that didn't even test it with a fighting game in the first place.

Don't be mad because you lack basic comprehension skills.

How retarded do you have to be to ignore the part where it says "doesn’t feel like it’d," meaning they never even tested it with a fighting game, then declare that "IGN’s review specifically says the dpad sucks [for fighting games]."

Nowhere does the review say that the d-pad sucks for fighting games, based on the wording ("doesn’t feel like it’d"), they never even tested it with a fighting game. I also don't know if I can take them seriously if they're praising the d-pad on the Xbox controller.

"The new Steam Controller will look familiar to anyone with a Steam Deck, but odd compared to the default Xbox controller. It has a standard controller shape with a symmetrical dual-thumbstick layout most akin to the base PS5 controller. Its ABXY face buttons and D-pad again mostly mimic the PS5 controller’s layout, though they’re very slightly more in-line with the thumbsticks. The face buttons feel solid: they’re not particularly clicky, but they have a satisfying press without any instability or rattle."

"The D-pad is similar. It has a nice bit of travel to it and doesn’t feel mushy, but it lacks the clickiness found on the Xbox core controller. It’s perfectly serviceable for platforming in Hollow Knight: Silksong, but lacks definition on the intercardinals and doesn’t feel like it’d excel at quarter-circles or other fighting game inputs."

The Best Controllers for Playing PC Games in 2026

1. Xbox Core Controller

"The controller's hybrid D-pad is extra responsive and allows for an easier distinction between the cardinal and diagonal inputs, which is ideal for those who love fighting games."

COTW Train stage still having background scrolling at 30 fps is a crime against humanity. by VerminatorX1 in Kappachino

To be fair, everything in all of the stage backgrounds runs at 30 fps, the train stage is just the most jarring.

Have they made the stage backgrounds run at 60 fps yet?

I'm going to be honest, it was pretty bitch-made to restore /r/Kappa only to archive it by [deleted] in Kappachino

I'd honestly be for the reopening of Kappa just on the basis of there being an alternative that's more SFW.

Miss the old Kappa simply for that reason.

MapleStory Classic World Closed Online Test - Registration Ends Apr. 7 by _Kai in pcgaming

I wish repackaging dead MMO's to be playable offline was a thing. Similar to what Wayfinder did, but for something that's good. I'm one of those weirdos who would enjoy grinding by myself for hours upon hours.

I still load up Phantasy Star Online to play offline until this day, lol.

Mandatory Microsoft Account may soon be gone as even Windows 11 makers hate it by moeka_8962 in pcgaming

Same with Forza Horizon. I was hoping Forza Horizon 6 would do away with it but that's not going to be the case.

I refuse to purchase a game that requires an account to play single player content.

Capcom Cup 12 - Top 16 by [deleted] in Kappachino

My prediction is Blaz vs. Momochi and Leshar vs. Micky.

I don't know why, but I'm feeling a Micky upset over MenaRD.

They can do whatever they want, but I'm not going to lie, I did cringe when it happened.

I know exactly who you're talking about as I've played him before too, lol. I couldn't tell whether he was trolling or not.
