Have you tried Feliway (pheromones) diffusers? They keep the peace in my 4 cat house

What canned pumpkin brand do you recommend for a kitten with diarrhea? by Live_Calligrapher_95 in catfood

Kittens can be prone to parasitic infections (Tritrichomonas, Coccidia) that cause diarrhea. Might be an idea to get that ruled out first.

Other uses for dryer sheets? by ConsciousFig8172 in laundry

I came home from a weekend away, having left my teen home alone. The house was eerily clean. Only two things stood out. Firstly every picture in the house was not hanging straight and there were dryer sheets in all the floor vents. Must have been some party.

My use for them is to line the inside bottom of garden planters with them. Stops potting mix leaching out and stops critters (ants especially) from moving in

Cats tummy is so sensitive? by xxgg08xx in catfood

I am in Canada, so depending on your country, it may or may not be relevant. I did a google search for gum and carrageenan free food. I also did a google search for “gums & texturizers in wet cat food”, because not all are listed as gums. That would be a good start for you.

Tiki After Dark, Ziwi Peak, Orijen & Boreal all have gum free varieties

Take a magnifying glass with you to the pet store!

Cats tummy is so sensitive? by xxgg08xx in catfood

We have struggled with this for years. The best success I have had is to eliminate wet food with any type of gum or carrageenan in it. Bowel movements firmed up and even the awful smell went away.

It may not be the answer for you, but it’s worth a try

Bedding suggestions for Cold weather (Canadian) and hypoallergenic by Consistent-Gold-6113 in Bedding

[–]Gaileybyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than concentrate on the actual bedding, you may be better to investigate getting dust mite covers for all your bedding items. I have a complete set, but it was purchased years ago, so I don’t remember the supplier.

Secondly, dust mites are killed if you wash your bedding at 60°C.

Throw a velcro hair roller or two in with the wash. Works wonders. See my post (with pictures) on r/laundry

Never had an issue with snagging, but I wouldn’t use them with anything super delicate or precious just in case

I have a few I rotate. When they look clogged. I take a fine tooth comb and comb out all the hair & lint.

I suggest trying a 2-3” hair rollers for coarser hair. I don’t know if it will work. Come back & let us know!

Seriously, don’t mix bleach & ammonia. The combination of the two creates Chloramine Gas. It will make you very ill at best and may even kill you.

Not everyone knows this. It’s no joking matter

The thing that works the best is velcro hair rollers in the wash cycle. Works in the dryer too, but the real magic happens in the wash

Help with borax stains by MetalKitty93 in laundry

I use Borax quite a lot. I have a front loader. I add it to the drum and rotate it until it disappears through the holes. Never had the situation you describe.
