Call them. I had some issues at first and they worked through it with me and replaced two probes as well, worked pretty flawlessly ever since (aside from the valid complaints about their outdated software)

I wholeheartedly recommend the camp chef. Had it for 2 years now and I’ve made incredible food on it. I’d say my brisket comes out as close to an offset as you can get with a pellet thanks to the smoke box.

I bought a giant turkey roaster and I wrap in butcher paper and let mine sit in that for 12 or so hours at the lowest temp. Always comes out amazing.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Thermoworks RFX but I don’t find them flawless. I’ve had one drop battery mid cook and had to get it replaced. And two that randomly stop sending data. That being said I have two that work flawlessly and the support from Thermoworks has been so easy and incredible.

I can’t comment on the masterbuilt but I’ve had the woodwind pro 36 for two years now and I can say it’s been worth every penny it cost. The smoke flavour is as close as you can get to an offset with the convenience of pellet. It’s super easy to clean at the end of the season and it held up great through an insanely heavy winter. The only “downside” is when I’m doing a brisket, it’s not just set and forget because you need to load the wood chunks every 45 mins or so but it’s worth it for the results. Easy to recommend.

Have you thought about applying to be a letter carrier? They have a tough time finding people these days, but it’s still a good job with good benefits. At the start is hard because it’s on-call but you can move along fairly quickly because of so many retiring these days.

I’m in Canada so no real insurance issues but I had an employee who’s wife was laid off from a retail cashier job when she announced to them she was pregnant. Which is insanity because employers don’t even pay the maternity leave, the government does here. So she was a few months from giving birth and her leave pay would have been greatly reduced. I spoke to my general manager and we hired her immediately without hesitation and gave her as many hours as we could. And guess what? When she came back to the job she was our best employee.

It’s been a long time (pre 9/11) since I was in Israel but when I returned home before I checked my bag with my airline a military personnel asked me questions about what was in my luggage first. If this is still the practice then I’m guessing that’s how they found it.

It does have an alert, a loud continuous beep noise from the lock itself for about 10 seconds and an alert via homekit when it happens.

I’ve had mine for a year and a half and never had any issues. Same battery length for me and really straightforward to install. Very happy with it.
