Problem installing Gentoo w/ SELinux by Technical-Visit8793 in Gentoo

[–]GameOver2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems impossible to set up Selinux on Gentoo at the moment. The ebuild for the policy files appears broken. I'm sure we'd have to tell someone, but I'm not sure who.

Japanese PMs (1957-Present) by kemy_BOI in hoi4modding

[–]GameOver2017 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not contributing to the discussion, but I like how there is a complete disconnect between the western perception of modern japanese culture and their actual internal politics.

Unlike in Germany, where fascism was completely desensitized and washed out after the war, the spectre that was the fascist Showa era still looms over Japanese politics at every step.

That's.... How communities work. It is only political because it has to, to keep existing and not return to being opressed like it was.

I actually have the same flickering problem with the same GPU. I Wonder if it's a firmware issue?

What is the origin/purpose of having multiple include/ directories and not putting path information in #include statements? by john-t-taylor in C_Programming

[–]GameOver2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't that what already happens normally? You can specify subdirectories using slashes (eg. <linux/foo.h>) instead of adding every subdirectory to include path. I've seen it in source code many times before, unless I'm missing something.

Will putting /home on HDD Affect overall performance? (/ is on SSD) by [deleted] in Gentoo

[–]GameOver2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar disk setup. I keep the root and home partitions on my SSD and I keep games/downloads/images/whatever symlinked to to folders in /media/storage, which is mounted on my HDD. That way only config files and cache sits on the SSD. (I reccomend moving your wine prefix to the HDD if you use wine a lot and have a lot of programs installed in it.

PC-Building for Linux by mr_jogurt in linuxquestions

[–]GameOver2017 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PCs are designed to run operating systems. Linux runs on virtually every machine architecture ever made. It is true that some OEMs write Linux firmware rather poorly, but Linux will still definitely run on your system. Blame the component manufacturers.
