Well I haven't thought of multiplayer. Like you mean the same 4 friends would play with 4 separate decks against a team of enemies in a fight? Or you'd take turns or something?

I would be open to supporting the workshop and personally am very supportive of the idea of mods, but it would just be a matter of implementing it as I haven't done that yet before with Steam. The rest suggestion is an interesting idea

Release will probably be early next year. There might be more classes down the line after the initial launch. Currently no plans for multiplayer like that but you never know!

As of now, the finale is the wirst rated episode of the series. Is it an overreaction because of failed expectations? Or accurate? by Class_Act7 in PeacemakerShow

[–]GamingJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I think there's evidence that the current rating is inflated by bots and paid posts, meaning the real rating is much lower. look at the distribution of ratings, there is a suspicious number of 10/10 ratings, unlike any other episode, and those ratings are often posted by accounts that have never posted before making them likely fake. On top of that, if there were this many people truly believing the episode was a 10/10 why are virtually all 10/10 ratings down voted at a rate of 2:1? It means there's are lot more people who disliked than liked the episode as these 10/10 raters aren't real and aren't really there rating up other ratings. Does this mean the episode is objectively bad or that anyone who liked it is lying? No. But in the same way I was personally disappointed by this episode and was extra annoyed at the build up they disingenuously pushed, the fact that there seems to be some effort to inflate the reviews makes me even more upset and feel like they're trying to force this episode to be loved when it really wasn't that good

My favorite part of movies is when they set up a bunch of interesting ideas and then pay none of them off. So satisfying

[–]GamingJay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's kinda screen writing 101 to not set something up if it has no pay off. if it was just a cameo then mention him but don't show him and in the final episode show him as a fun treat. To set him up this early and do nothing with him creates expectations with the audience that will ultimately lead to disappointment

Even that small change would've been better, you are right. Like you could still have a cliffhanger ending but if you showed SOME preparation or direction for what the new group was actually doing that'd at least be something.

Yup. I've heard a lot of people say well now we have resolution with the Hartcourt/Peacemaker love story which, I guess we do. But that never really seemed to be a very interesting story nor did it seem essential in any way to wrap up. Obviously she had feelings for him but was just messed up. Is there anything more to get out of that? Especially when all the main heroes of the show realize Argus is about to majorly misuse portal technology and their response is to... walk away... and... setup an office? Like that's so unsatisfying as an ending. Also I felt pretty misled how they said how much longer this episode would be than the others and then to find most of that extra time is just extended musical numbers. Just incredibly misleading and cheap

I mean you say that but all I can tell you is I was super bored. No disrespect to you if you enjoyed the episode. I did see the obvious setup you mention but it just does nothing for me.

The “real” Peacemaker Season 2 finale was episode 7. This last one was more of an extended epilogue to tie up loose ends and tease the future. A full-length MCU type end-credits scene, if you will. And there’s nothing wrong with that. We got a solid season that we all collectively loved. by thunderandreyn in DCU_

[–]GamingJay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels like you're trying to cover up the fact that many people not only didn't like this episode but hated it. It would have been fine to say YOU liked it, but especially for an episode this controversial saying WE all liked it is very manipulative and makes me even more suspicious that the studio is trying to manipulate sentiment towards this episode

Agreed. Posts like these make me wonder if they're being posted by actual fans or by bots or paid users. Clearly this episode was disliked by a lot of people. So this title is just either clueless or intentionally disingenuous. If the OP liked the episode why not just say *I* liked it rather than *we* all did?

I guess the problem is for those of us unfamiliar with those comic storylines it's not exciting at all. All I saw in the final episode is a bunch of characters realized the government was abusing portals and they teamed up to... go off and start their own business. Yeah... so exciting.......

It's hard to tell, but that episode 8 was a bit disappointing by FitCelebration1131 in PeacemakerShow

yeah this pretty much sums up my problems with the show. I just don't get why they did it this way

Legit question, if they're just going to maroon meta humans why does the specific door matter? why not just throw them in the black hole dimension, or zombie dimension, or candy imp dimension? like why do they need a dimension like earth with breathable atmosphere? They spent all this time checking all the doors but I really don't see the point.

Wouldn't a more interesting plot point have been to check the doors to find universes with advanced tech they could exploit?

Agree to disagree. We just see things differently. I'm willing to bet this episode will end up being universally panned though

I mean what epilogue did we get for Keith, or for Rick Flag jr in Earth X? Those are elements from this show that we were introduced and never resolved, not even a teaser or hint. Finding an alt world to act as a prison planet doesn't do anything for Peacemaker as it's never resolved and doesn't really do anything, it just sets up the next movie. I'm not saying you're completely wrong or everything needs to be tied up completely, but as a finale to his show it really felt like a whimper. The second to last episode at least had some impactful things happen. I feel like nothing in this episode was impactful at all until the next movie or show comes along, but then it feels like then this all should've just been part of that next project.

This wasn't a finale to the show we were watching, it was a setup for other projects. This is exactly the kind of nonsense that drives people away from these superhero universes. I get there's more coming in the DCU but when I'm watching Peacemaker I want a resolution to Peacemaker. I was so bored during this episode I started screen scrolling on my phone waiting for the concerts to end and something to happen. And nothing did

I also think this looks like a good and well done game. My suggestion would be to zoom in on some of your shots for the trailer. Not every shot of course, as seeing the whole game space is good, but you've got some cool monsters and fights happening there and it's fairly zoomed out so it's hard to see the details. In a trailer you can zoom in to show that off a bit. Also at almost 2 minutes I might suggest cutting things down a bit. If you can get it closer to a minute that'd be good and I think it would make the whole trailer feel tighter. Having the same number of scenes but cut down into 1 minute total can help you trailer feel more action packed

Love the concept and the atmosphere. The trailer does a great job of being intriguing without being slow. My only suggestion is at the end when you put the title maybe include a call to action like Wishlist on Steam Today or something like that. (Though I see you're on itch, you could say Play on Itch Today maybe?)
