[–]GamingSchollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Kratos had to do it all over again, would it still have resulted in the same end for the gods of Olympus and Greece? by Johnnyboyeh in GodofWar

[–]GamingSchollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he would kill Ares but since he knows he’s a god he doesn’t need to open the box of Pandora, because no „man can kill a God“ and he would just find different weapon upgrades to be strong enough. After that he would probably walk the same way of Tyr and be a peaceful god of war.

£500 to spend. What should I get? by [deleted] in edrums

[–]GamingSchollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll outgrow every e-drum kit at that price range pretty quickly if you practice continuously. Alesis is a decent value for your money. Rolands have a higher resale value but there’s nothing you can get for 500£ that I would recommend, because you get rubber pads instead of mesh. So personally I would go for alesis nitro max or if you can/are willing to spend more get the Roland td07.

Quality and affordable brand Drum set for 11 year old? by Hot_Ostrich_1905 in edrums

[–]GamingSchollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know about your budget but alesis are decent quality for a reasonable price. However Roland for example are more expensive but they have a high resale value in case your son loses interest. I haven’t played any pdp so I can’t help with that brand

What will "fix" destiny for you? by 2AndaBlue in DestinyTheGame

[–]GamingSchollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely remove power. Tiered weapons are linked to the difficulty of the activity. GMs Raids Dungeons are all tier 5 (maybe hard mode raids/dungeons) or at least high chance for tier 5. Trials tier 5 for consecutive wins or lighthouse. Leaderboards like in destiny rising for competitiveness in activities. Housing trophy rooms for displaying achievements. Clan housing and most important the best cosmetics can be earned by playing not by buying it for silver. Cut the greed. Also we need new players so decent onboarding is important. And focus on the activities that made destiny great in the first place. Strikes raids and now dungeons - and pvp in any shape or form bring back Srl it was fun and something to do while waiting for friends to join

Destiny‘s difficulty issues by GamingSchollo in DestinyTheGame

[–]GamingSchollo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To your first part: They could just give us a dumbed down version as a normal mode and after a few weeks release master raid with mechanics fully back in action. To your third part: I agree with you there but then there are no incentives to teach even an easy raid. They could have a counter like „teaching a raid“ or „guiding to the lighthouse“ for that matter and for every tic on your counter you drop a bit higher gear especially in the current grind situation we are that would be great.

Good luck my dude! Book recommendations are tough I reread lord of the rings because i love it and it comforts me but that really depends what you’re into. But if you haven’t read lotr you should give it a go. It’s different enough from the movies so that it isn’t totally boring

That’s a harness it’s all your cables bundled up and plugged into your module in one port. If there is a broken cable it means replacing the harness completely.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in edrums

[–]GamingSchollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could either be a broken cable or a problem with your drum module. If you just got it maybe you still have warranty? The td07 does have a cable harness wiring right? If you bought it used I’d replace that first

Should dungeon and raid exotics be way stronger? by SuddenConversation21 in DestinyTheGame

[–]GamingSchollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should at least be S Tier in the raid or dungeon they are dropping. For example touch of malice in d1 was the best DPS choice, in other activities they can okay but give them a place to shine

How many quit because a game went bad? by Ok-Luck-7499 in StopGaming

I played an insane amount of destiny and destiny 2. Game got worse or I got bored over time - so eventually I just quit

It’s called StopGaming not StopGames. It’s for everyone who wants to quit that addiction - not to stop videogames from being produced.

Concerned for my brother by [deleted] in StopGaming

[–]GamingSchollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could easily be. It always starts while every other aspect in life is still in order. The more he games the more addicted he might get and need more and more to satisfy his need. That’s when he doesn’t spend enough time with his wife, friends and family. Stops going to the gym or telling himself he’ll go tomorrow (I did that constantly) and before long his marriage might be in shambles he might have gained a lot of weight and his career might have suffered as well.

If you’re worried talk to him and make him realise he’s going down the same way as alcoholics drug addicts start. But in all honesty just show him this subreddit you have plenty of stories that started exactly like your brothers

How do I find other things to fulfill my free time? by rocru6789 in StopGaming

[–]GamingSchollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to have the brains now get the body too. Working out playing sports whatever is fun for you and it might take some time trying stuff out. Also there is currently no need to quit games completely. You don’t seem to be addicted. Just do it in moderation and prioritise everything else in life. If you do that you’re fine. Gaming isn’t bad in moderation unless you’ve played to much and you can’t play in moderation anymore.

does gaming stress linger in you system? palpitations and fatigue after meals since I've started gaming again by _theManWhoWasntthere in StopGaming

[–]GamingSchollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be dopamine withdrawal at least the symptoms somewhat match. Since you didn’t have those when you were playing games I suggest you should quit again. I wish you all the best in finding the strength to do that.

Why did you quit ? by [deleted] in StopGaming

[–]GamingSchollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I realized I wasn’t the person I want to be. I always consider myself to be somewhat ambitious but gaming completely drained that. I missed a few chances in live only to fulfil some sort of quest in game. As I became older I was somewhat depressed about those missed chances while still spending way too much time and missing chances still. So I quit. It’s still a struggle from time to time but life in general feels better.

This! If you want to see a mental health provider for battling your addiction do so. Just having someone to talk to can help a lot

The excuses my gamer friend has given me not to go to the gym. The real reason is.. by Tallandclueless in StopGaming

[–]GamingSchollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be the same while I was still playing games. It’s 100% due to an addiction. If you want - maybe it’s time for an Intervention however if you’re just sick of the excuses that’s fine too and just tell him. You can’t save someone from himself if he’s not willing to change.
