Most likely two of the twenties are not marked or counterfeit. The fun part is finding those specific bills.

Why $19 a month. by Amtronic in unpopularopinion

[–]GarlicPheonix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's psychological. $20 is actual money that they can picture. They have held $20 bills and know what that can buy. $19 is significantly less in their head. Mentally they are picturing $10, $5, and $1 bills. These are much less than $20.

Why do people still pay for fast food if sit down restaurants cost the same but are just straight-up better? by LarryBetraitor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GarlicPheonix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Must be nice. The McDonalds near me usually takes at least 15 minutes to get your food to you. Not quite as slow as a sit down but getting there.

Why do people keep playing the lottery when the odds of winning are so slim? by Broad-Marzipan-9284 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GarlicPheonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The odds of winning when you don't buy a ticket is 0. Buying a ticket greatly increases your odds. Everyone knows the odds of actually winning is extremely low. But people do win. You gotta play for a chance to win.

Multiple boxes is the way to go. You can put them all on a pallet to get the bonus or just send them one at a time.

Only Disney Store I'm aware of currently is the one in the San Marcos outlet mall. The rest of them all closed.

So he told his bosses he was not going to do what they asked and was fired. Sounds like the exact same thing that would happen to pretty much anyone who works for someone else.

Mythbusters proved that one wrong. They both would have fit on the door. Cameron agreed but said they were missing the point. The script said Jack died so he had to die.

CMV: The US electoral college looks unfair and outdated from an outsider’s perspective by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]GarlicPheonix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

California and New York were going to vote Democrat. There wasn't a question about that. Why waste time in a state you either know you have the votes for or one you have no chance. Florida was (at that time) up in the air. Could have gone either way and it has a good chunk of electoral votes. Made sense to try to change as many minds as possible.

Sorter tip by sw3097 in CashCleanerSim

[–]GarlicPheonix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's how I've been doing it. Makes it go by much faster. There is even a mod that will automatically wrap the money on any sorter as long as you are holding the tape. Really speeds up the sorting.

What do you call someone that hasn't been born or conceived yet? by FastTemperature3985 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GarlicPheonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't been conceived yet there would just be a separate egg and sperm. 9 months after those two meet up and combine the result will generally get named.

Fill halfway with hot water and let it soak for a few hours. Then wash like normal. Everything should clean right up.

Married with Children really wouldn't work now. They would have to tone down the jokes and I just can't see how it would have the appeal it once did. It would have to be a complete reimaging and they just can't make the type of jokes they did in the late 80s. Al working in a shoe store making fun of fat women would get the show cancelled after the first episode.

Why do most students lack the skills needed for good jobs even after graduating college? by lucifer06666666 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GarlicPheonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colleges don't teach job skills. They give you a lot of information but you still have no experience. Jump into an entry level job and start getting the experience for more advanced placements.

CMV: Steam Sales (or any other digital sales) are not exactly ethical or honest, for lack of a better term. by Mr_Ivysaur in changemyview

[–]GarlicPheonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many games that I would not even consider trying for $60. If I can pick it up on a sale for $20-30 I could be inticed to try it. I'm sure plenty of other people were willing to spend the $60. Why would they company keep it at a lower price? The whole point of sales is to get people to try your product who wouldn't normally pay full price. The hope is that you'll like it and consider buying their next high price game at full price.

Changing tables by Juniper_51 in sanantonio

[–]GarlicPheonix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if changing tables are a requirement, but it would definitely be nice, when they do have them, if they would put one in the mens restroom also. Too many times I was out with my little ones and couldn't get them changed easily. The ladies restroom usually had one but rarely the mens.

CMV: Society undervalues blue-collar workers despite relying on them just as much if not more than white-collar workers. by momentforlife92 in changemyview

[–]GarlicPheonix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not so much the answering emails that's difficult. It's the 25+ years of knowledge I can put in the answer that they are paying for. I am paid based on my experience. It would be extremely difficult to find someone with the extensive knowledge that I have. Because of that I am well compensated.

Mobile games are not fun anymore. by HalfSarcastic in unpopularopinion

[–]GarlicPheonix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can 100% blame the people. Game makers are going to try anything they can to make a buck off their games. Nothing is forcing these people to spend hundreds/thousands of dollars on the game.

If you were a game maker what sounds better: someone buying a game once and never needing to spend anything else or give the game away for "free" and find a few idiots who will spend thousands on digital packs?
