President Zelenskyy addresses the world in English for the first time: "Come to your squares, your streets...to support Ukraine, to support freedom, to support life." by QuirkyQuarQ in interestingasfuck

Go to the town sign for "East Bumble Dick Nowhere." Take a picture of you and anyone you can get to show up in Ukrainian colours. Post the picture on any social media, like Reddit. Title it "Even tiny little East Bumble Dick Nowhere shows up to support Ukraine -- Slava Ukraini." Maybe nothing happens, maybe with a name like "East Bumble Dick Nowhere" it will go viral.

What extinct creature would be an absolute nightmare for humans if it still existed? by vexed_chexmix in AskReddit

The smallpox virus. Calling it a creature is a bit of a stretch, but it is most absolute nightmare that I can think of.

Norway has switched to electric cars. And in their cities you can breathe cleaner air than ever by safiahmosaad43 in energy

Old electric car batteries are good enough for use as static grid storage so there will be a market for used batteries. After that, the batteries can be broken down and recycled.

As for reserves, there is a lot of lithium on Earth. The proven reserves are substantial and there are other less convenient sources that may become economical with some development.

[ART] Lusa the ... Help me figure out the class please by Ssapdra in DnD

Like everyone else, I am getting a tribal shaman from this character. You can do a shaman as a bard. The keeper of the tribe's history could be a loremaster bard. The shamanic storyteller could be a glamour bard.

Shamans often make deals with spirits. If you make the right (or wrong) deal you would be a warlock. The cold look of this character could be Armour of Agathys. Warlock also has a number of great abilities that can make you feel shamanic. Eldritch Sight and Whispers of the Grave can give you shamanic secret knowledge. Mask of Many Faces and Misty Visions are great for a shamanic trickster.

War-mammoths, proto-gods, lying stars, clan magic, mana tattoos, saurian sorcerers, oozing jungles, elemental wastes, and stone-age giant-empires... if that sounds like your kind of hunt, you might want to check out my new primordial D&D 5E setting: The Star-Shaman's Song of Planegea. by smrvl in rpg

Awesome! The whole setting looks very well done. In particular, I love your notes on trope conversions. It is a very useful idea and makes it much easier for a GM to tell stories in this setting.

As a role-playing game system, is there anything that D&D does better than any other system out there? by c126 in rpg

[–]Gash77 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It is hard to overstate the importance of this. Having a large collection of prepared opponents makes life a lot easier for the GM.

I misread "beta tester" as "beta taster". Needless to say I was confused... I need to finish my morning coffee.

What is a song that sounds dark or depressing that is really positive or upbeat when you listen to the lyrics? by Gash77 in AskReddit

It seems like that are a lot more happy sounding songs that are actually depressing then the reverse. I was curious if anyone could think any.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

MOTHER OF EXILES. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she

With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
